Chapter 17 Moon Over Bourbon Street

Elena was now 8 months pregnant she was so ready to have her little girl. She was currently in the room next to Kol's room. She was making this Angel's nursery the room next to it would be Haley's daughter and then Haley's room. Haley had been staying at the Bayou she knew that they were trying that elixier tonight to cure the wolfs.

Elijah walked into the room"I see its coming along quite well"

"It would come along faster if i wasn't doing all the work myself but guess its hard to get help around here" Elena said.

"Sorry i have been dealing with Klaus and the witches but you seem to be doing quite well did you ever finish the journals"  Elijah asked

"No i haven't read it since the fire i reached the part about me and i'm kind of scared to continue on and learn what he thought of me" Elena said. She was seriously scared to learn what he thought of her.

"You know your the only one that can read them Kol had a witch spell them so he has to grant permission for anyone to read them i don't think you would be able to read them if it was something bad about you" Elijah said.

"Yeah your probably right i don't know why i'm scared to read it" Elena said. She did know why what Rebekah had said to her if she fell for her brother.

"There is nothing wrong with being scared especially when your eight months pregnant" Elijah said.

Elena smiled and rubbed her stomach"In 2 months or less she'll be here i can't wait. I always wanted to be a mother and i'm getting my chance to be just that."

"You will make an excellent mother i'll come and set this up but i have to get back" Elijah said.

"Thanks Elijah" Elena said.

"And Elena i would appreciate if you stayed inside the compound for your saftey" Elijah said. He knew that she didn't like being told what to do but she might not have much of a choice.

"Ok I will try" Elena said. She knew she was stubborn but she at least wanted to see her sister.

Elena was sitting at the table while Elijah was standing at one end and Haley was standing at the other they had called her to play judge.

"Do you have any idea what it took just to get those people in one room together?" Elijah said.

"No, actually, I don't.Because I didn't even know what you were doing out here until someone else told me. Tell me something, Elijah. Did you leave the werewolves out because of me?" Haley asked. Elena knew that this wasn't going to end well for anyone.

"I excluded them because they no longer reside in the French Quarter.My immediate concern is to end the mounting conflict here. Now, I can assure you once this treaty is solidified, it will expand to include your people." Elijah said. He thought that he was doing whats best for the city.

"Until then, I should tell them what? Sit, stay, roll over?" Haley asked. She felt offended that her people didn't get a say in this.

"I would prefer if you removed yourself from the process altogether" Elijah said. Elena seen Haley's face change and knew that Elijah had hit a nerve. "Hayley, are you absolutely certain that you shouldn't return to the compound?" Elijah moved closer to Haley,

Haley scoffed at Elijah"You think the baby belongs there? You think that's where she'll be safe? Elena and Angel will be fine here but me not so much"

"Is the bayou any better?" Elijah asked.

"The wolves deserve a voice. Give them one. You know it's the right thing to do." Haley said. She put her hands in her coat and walked out.

Elijah turned towards Elena"She's right Elijah they deserve a voice. Give them one Haley can be there leader" Elena said. She got up and walked out.

Elena was sitting in her room when Elijah walked in.

"Were throwing a party to bring the community together" Elijah said.

"I'm not going i don't even have a dress for a party" Elena whinned. She already didn't like party's and she didn't have a dress that she could wear.

"I went and got you a dress already Davina gave me your measurments" Elijah said. He layed her dress on the bed. (picture above)

"Ok fine i'll come" Elena sighed.

Elena was standing on the balcony. She seen all the members of the groups here. She seen francesa flirting with Elijah. The werewolfs about to fight vampires. She also seen Davina come in with the witches. She seen Haley walk in wearing a beautiful dress.

Elena went down and started talking to guests. She went and stood by Haley."Hello"

"Hey Elena look i'm sorry for the way that i have been acting but they deserve it i don't want to raise her in war or here i'm better at the Bayou i didn't mean to leave you alone" Haley said.

"I know you didn't but i have a month maybe two until she's here and i've barley seen you how are you doing" Elena asked,

"Good i get to be with my family now and thats all i ever wanted" Elena said.

Elena seen Deigo and Oliver start to fight. She was grabbed and put into the corner by Elijah.

"You eight months pregnant must stay here" Elijah ordered. He vamped and grabbed Oliver and pushed his face into the table."This ends now i won't ask again"

Jackson spoke up"Will end it alright" Elijah turned around and seen he had a stake to Diego's heart.

"What's stopping you" Haley asked Elijah."Kill him" She got off the stairs"Go ahead, Elijah. Do it. I mean, it's not like he doesn't deserve to die. It was Oliver who handed Rebekah over to the witches so they could torture her. But then again, wasn't it Diego who led a werewolf massacre last month? And the witches cursed the wolves, while the humans stood back and let it all happen. So when you think about it, everyone here deserves to die."

"Are you approaching a point." Elijah asked.

"My point, Elijah, is this. If we can't all learn to get along, if our families can't create some sort of community, then what's the point? Kill each other and get it all over with." Haley said. Elijah let Elijah go and Jackson removed the stake.

"My turn to yell" Elena said. She walked over by Haley."What the hell do you people think you are doing for god's sake why are we at war when we can be a community. Witches, Werewolves, Vampires, Humans you want to stay in your home then all of you need to stop acting like a fucking two year old and get the hell along. Originals included. Vampires and Werewolves need to end there little feud so you can all stay in the town that you love witches stop acting like you control everyone and scare everyone cause you don't"

"Who are you" Genieveve said.

"I'm the pregnant vampire by the dead original who is physco as hell and is not about to take this so sign the damn treaty or get the hell out of new orleans" Elena said. She didn't like all this and she sure as hell didn't need the stress."Haley can represent the wolves."
