Love Has A Color (COMPLETED)

"A'Ning I want to know you better. Please go on dates with me.", was all King managed to say at that time. Well except for 'Ram' and 'let's talk'. And Ram, like what he usually does, only nodded. Then it was silent again.

King knows he has to keep the conversation going but can't seem to find that cheat sheet he mentally came up with this past few days. He has a lot more to say to Ram other than those few words in those two sentences but can't seem to remember any of the items on his list.

Than thep King has a better memory than this, but Ram seemed to have an even better way of making him forget things. Without barely doing anything. And King is so curious as to what sorcery is behind it.

King is still racking his brains on the next words to say when he heard a familiar short beep. He immediately took out his phone and read the message.

Now?

And it was finally King's turn to nod. He's too eager and feeling spontaneous at the moment and if it dawned on him that he hasn't prepared anything or have no idea where to go, King can't seem to care.

He'll be with Ram. That should be enough for now.

And King isn't the only one eager to spend time with the other. For as soon as he nodded his answer, Ram gathered his stuff, put them on his backpack and grabbed King's wrist ushering him to stand up and follow his lead.

"A'Ning where are you taking me?", King asked after being dragged by Ram for a few minutes now.

"I'm hungry, let's eat first.", King added slowly being himself again. Ram's hold on his wrist is making his face heat up but not being under Ram's intense gaze helped King in gaining composure.

After a few more tiring steps, Ram stopped in front of what seemed like a newly-opened food park. And King smiled widely. Whether because Ram sort of read his mind or because of the many different street foods in front of him is something King isn't so curious to find out.

Seeing an available table in a stall that sells pad thai, Ram looked at King asking him.

"I'm okay with pad thai.", King answered the silent question and without letting go of his hand, Ram and him walked to the stall and ordered two servings of the dish.

When their orders came, King can't help but stare on the plate. It's his first time eating pad thai again after he began seeing other colors and it felt surreal to King. Seeing the bits of peanut on top oddly made him smile. They are brown too.

It was a few days now since King has started seeing other colors. But it feels like the first time seeing them come alive in front of his eyes. The blue of the sky over them comforted King and relaxed him at the same time. While the bright yellow flowers from a pot not too far felt like a warm greeting to him. And King is simply overwhelmed with feelings.

When Ram noticed that King is only staring at his food, he gently touched King in his arm to ask him what's wrong.

King then turned towards Ram and looked at him for a long while. Unsure how he can put into words the happiness Ram brought him. And after making sure he can speak without choking on his words, King thanked Ram.

"A'Ning, thank you for coming into my life."
