"A'Ning why are you here? Do you need anything?", King blurted out the questions in quick succession after recovering from his trance. He turned to face Ram but decided to look at anything other than Ram's eyes so he is currently admiring his shoes.

His nong didn't say anything and only started walking towards him.

King isn't one to be easily flustered but there's no mistaking the heat creeping up in his face as he stood frozen while his cool boy is coming towards him.

When Ram is but a step away from him, he handed a folder to King. The latter didn't bother asking what it's for as he won't likely get any response and proceed to checking the contents of the folder without raising his head.

"Oh it's the report for today's activities. Bohn must be in a hurry to submit it himself. Thanks A'Ning, I'll be the one to pass it on my way out. You can go ahead first." Then he turned on his back like it's the most normal thing to do and picked up the scattered books on the floor. He neatly placed them on the table and gathered his things.

When Ram didn't make a move. And is not showing any intentions of leaving, King turned to face him and braved a glance at his face before asking, "A'Ning why are you still here? Do you have anything else to tell me?" The other is only showing a stoic face.

With that King finds himself swallowing a non-existent bitter pill. A grimace showed up but also quickly disappeared from his face. Why is he suddenly asking a question he's not ready to hear the answer of is beyond King. Sometimes his mouth just has a mind of it's own.

Ram didn't reply but instead pulled his phone out and started typing. And in a few seconds King received a text. A short beep notified him of the message.

You know it's me.

"What do you mean?", King asked. He knows where this is going but he still felt the need to clarify.

"I'm your soulmate and you are mine.", Ram answered.

Those were the first few words Ram has spoken to King that day. But also the very words he's been dreading to hear after that awkward afternoon in one of the tables in the gear park.

Ram is King's soulmate and he doesn't know what to do with that information. It has completely taken him aback. All his previous plans shattered. And he was left without a clue as to what to do. So King didn't do anything. That is, if one can consider avoiding a person as not doing anything.

Since that day, Ram, King realized, has a way of making his words get stucked in his throat rendering him speechless. Of making his heart palpitate without any need for a caffeine intake. Of making his face unusually warm without exposing himself to the sun. And King is confused whether it's a good thing or no.

And again, like today, when Ram put it out in the open, King was rendered speechless. Confusion is evident in his eyes. His mind in complete disarray.

Ram must have felt King's internal struggle to make sense of things and he decided not to push him any more than he already did.

And for the second time that day, Ram surprised King with the words coming from him.

"I'll wait for you, P'King.", then Ram left King.

King then slumped on the floor. His knees too weak to keep him standing.

And when King chanced upon Tee's yellow mug on one of the tables in the room, he knows, he can't deny it anymore.
