King kept to himself the whole friday night and weekend. His friends were all inviting him to one of the bars they frequent to grab some drinks but King said no and stayed in his place.

He has a lot of thinking to do and he knows the bar isn't the best place to be at the moment. And certainly not in the company of his chaotic engineering gang. They're very good friends and all but King needs to sort this out alone. In a quiet place. For a certain quiet man and himself.

It's unusual for King to miss a night at the bar and his friends knowing him well were a bit worried. But after King assured them everything's okay and that he just needs some time alone, they didn't ask him anymore and decided to give him space.

And on that Saturday morning, after having breakfast, King was once again, consumed by those same thoughts. So engrossed was he that he didn't realize that someone's knocking at his door.

King only snapped out of his thoughts when the knocks became a bit louder and incessant. And upon heading to the door and opening it he saw his older sister, P'Kumfah standing outside.

"Kantikat! What took you so long to open the door?", P'Kumfah exclaimed right after the door was opened for her.

"Sorry P', I was busy with something. What do I owe this visit for?", King replied a bit surprised by his sister's sudden visit.

His sister didn't answer though and immediately went inside then proceed with checking the bathroom, the spare room and King's bedroom and closets.

"What are you doing P'? Did you forget something here?"

"No I didn't. I was just looking for your faen. You sure you weren't hiding him here?"

"Why would he ever be here?"

"He?", P'Kumfah asked surprised and excited at the same time.

King is suddenly dizzy seeing how the gears are turning on his sister's mind but decided to brave the incoming onslaught of squee and questions. She's his sister first before she was a fangirl and King loves his sister for everything that she is. He just hopes it wouldn't take them half a day for this conversation.

"Yes you heard it right P'. It's a he."

"Scream!!! I knew it! Okay so give me the when, where and how of it with all the minor details. And why didn't you tell me about it? How long do you plan to hide it from your P'?", P'Kumfah said while crossing her arms over her chest.

King is unsure where to even begin and when he started after so much hesitation the words doesn't seem like they were coming from him.

"It wasn't too long since I've met him P'. And I'm still...I don't know...not used to it? Not used to the idea of him being my s-soulmate. I have nothing against these relationships you know me...and my friends too were...er, open about it. He's a nice guy. He's cool. And I know too that our family won't be against it. You'll be ecstatic about it. It's just...it never crossed my mind before. I never imagined this is how it's going to be for me. I've always liked girls. So I was surprised. I initially thought it was the girl in their group but now that I know it's him I just...I don't know how to say it in words, overwhelmed? I have a lot of whys. And I don't have the answers. So I'm still on that stage. The one where I'm asking questions."

King managed to finish after too many pauses and a lot of stuttering. But his normally talkative P' doesn't seem like she's ready to speak yet. The silence continued on after sometime and King was the first to break it.

"I'm sorry P' if my words don't make sense."

"I'll be more surprised if they do.", P'Kumfah said. "I'm guessing he already know."

"Yeah, he did. He approached me about it."

"And what did you say?"

"Nothing P'. Nothing came to mind at that time. He must've realized my confusion for he didn't pushed for it. He only said he'll wait for me. He's really one nice guy P'. I don't deserve him.", King said his head hanging low. He's usually a confident person but the current turn of events left him dispirited.

P'Kumfah can sense the distress in her brother's words and hugged him. Knowing full well words aren't enough to bring her brother the comfort he needed.

"It's okay to not know the answers for now. You'll know them in time. But never say you aren't deserving of anyone. I will never let anyone underestimate your worth. And that includes you Kantikat.", P' Kumfah said before adding,

"And let me remind you too that this isn't some math problem on an exam where you need to get the answers right away by using an equation. You're good at that but love doesn't work that way. If anything, it's more like a trial and error thing. So don't be sad if you don't know the Y yet. Or the X. Or most of the answers you're looking for. For now, let's not complicate things and fuss over every single detail. Ask yourself, what do you feel about him? Answer that first then slowly work on the rest. At your own pace."

"What if he gets tired of waiting P'?"

"I'm sure he won't. My Kantikat is an amazing person. He will wait. And if he doesn't then that just means he's blind and he doesn't deserve you."

"But P' I haven't seen all the colors yet."

"You have me Kantikat. I'll always be here for you. If worse comes to worst, I'll be the one to accompany you in all the places you want to visit and you'll see them through my eyes. I'll describe them to the most minute details you won't have any spare room in your imagination."

"That will still be different P'!", King countered playfully. All the previous tension forgotten. King didn't know until today that his sister is so good at comforting people and it made him love her even more.

"Don't be afraid my Kantikat. Or worry about things that hasn't happened yet. You're a good child. A very good little brother and son and one of the best friends one can have and you deserve the best things in life. So cheer up, okay?"

P'Kumfah gently advised King while hugging him tightly and gently stroking his hair. And King only hummed in response. He can't help but bask in the sisterly affection P'Kumfah is showering him.

King may not have the answers yet but after his sister advised him and held him in her arms with all the warmth and affection she can give him, King felt loved and at peace. He was never alone in his problems. His sister's visit today was a reminder of it and King felt a renewed sense of self and confidence.

He's ready to take on the world again.
