Our Two Moons || (Saifah x Zon)

Ch. 9

The week leading up to the concert passed by in a blur. Although there hadn't been a significant change in Saifah and Zon's relationship, they had definitely grown closer in the past few days. It was just the little things like cuddling while watching a movie, touching more during practice, and walking each other to class.

Now it was finally the night of the concert and Zon was freaking out backstage as they waited to perform.

"Zon," Saifah assured, "you'll do great!" He pulled Zon in for a tight hug, wrapping his arms around Zon's small frame. Zon wrapped his arms tighter around Saifah's torso.

"But what if they hate me?" Zon murmured against Saifah's chest. The side of his face was pushed against Saifah's firm chest. He could feel the steady movement of the taller's chest as he inhaled and exhaled. The rhythm was very calming, and he focused on it in an attempt to relax.

"They won't hate you. You have been practicing so hard for this. You did amazing at rehearsal, and you will do amazing tonight," Zon could feel Saifah's breath, hot on the top of his head as he spoke.

"You really think so?" Zon looked up at Saifah, eyes wide.

"I know so," Saifah confirmed before tilting Zons head down slightly and kissing his forehead. Zon smiled up at Saifah, face flushed. Saifah smiled back before grabbing Zon's hand and leading him onto the stage. The audience cheered as the two made their way on. Saifah gave Zon's hand one last reassuring squeeze before dropping it to pick up his guitar.

Zon made his way to the microphone, gripping his guitar tightly. He scanned his eyes across the crowd. So many people. He felt his stomach clench. He removed his gaze from the crowd and looked over to Saifah. Saifah sent him a reassuring smile, calming his nerves. He took a deep breath and started singing.

(AN: I know it isn't the song they sing in the show together but 10/10 recommend "Is This Love" by Tom Isara)

The performance went smoothly. The audience loved it and when they finished they were met with a loud round of applause. Zon smiled brightly, overjoyed that everyone liked it. Saifah grabbed Zon's hand, and they bowed before exiting the stage together.

"That was amazing!" Zon cried gleefully as soon as they made it backstage. Saifah picked up Zon and spun him around as the two cried out with joy. Saifah put Zon back on the ground but kept his arms around Zon's waist. Zon reached up wrapping his arms around Saifah's neck, smiling widely.

"I'm so proud of you!" Saifah smiled widely at Zon, "You did so well, just like we practiced."

"Thank you," Zon murmured, "I couldn't have done that without you".

Saifah leaned down, kissing the tip of Zon's nose, "Anything for you, my Zon." Zon beamed, reaching his hands up to Saifah's head, tangling them in his hair.

"Why?"

"Because you already have my heart."

At these words a new emotion clouded Zon's eyes and he dropped his gaze down to Saifah's mouth, watching as his tongue flicked out, running across his lips . He tightened his grip on Saifah's hair, pulling his head down towards his, connecting their lips. Saifah froze for a second before reacting and pulling Zon flush against his body. Their lips moved in sync as the kiss deepened. Zon broke the kiss first, gasping for breath. He looked up at Saifah's expression, studying his face. He took in Saifah's ruffled hair, flushed face, and slightly puffy lips. Saifah kept his arms wrapped tightly as he looked down at Zon.

"My Zon?" Saifah whispered against Zon's lips, "Would you be my boyfriend?"

"Yes," Zon answered without hesitation. Saifah beamed before closing the gap between their lips with a quick peck. They broke the kiss, both smiling widely. Saifah grabbed Zon's hand, intertwining their fingers.

"C'mon, I think Tutor and Fighter were going to take us out for ice cream to celebrate" Saifah then pulled Zon towards the exit, keeping their fingers tightly intertwined.
