You didn't save Knot. This takes place during Order 66
You ran through the halls, the three clones were chasing you, yelling for backup. The clones were all turning on you, which was scary. Some of them were your best friends. You weren't sure if you could actually kill all of them.
Once you reached your ship, one of the clones shot out your power generator, making your ship useless. You were able to fly into the air and deflect shots with your lightsaber. One shot deflected off of your blade and hit a clone in the chest. The guilt overwhelmed you, but if you wanted to survive, you had to do whatever it would take.
Another clone quickly fell to the floor as you hit it with a blaster shot that you deflected. The last clone kept shooting though. He looked like a commander, his grey helmet looked strangely familiar.
You couldn't focus of the strange nagging in your brain because suddenly, you heard the thundering of footsteps. Six more clones ran out from behind a corner and began to aid the commander. You wouldn't be able to protect yourself from seven different clones, it was impossible.
You were able to deflect three shots back at the clones, leaving four remaining, but as the fight lengthened, the clones got even more ruthless and determined to end your life.
Eventually, the commander shot out your jet pack and sent you to the ground. Your back hit the ground with a thud and you let out a small groan of pain. But you quickly shook it off and resumed defending yourself against the commander and his three other clones.
You were able to take out two more, leaving just you, the commander, and another clone. One of your shots hit the clone's chest, the impact sending him back. That left you and the commander in the battle.
You deflected a shot that skimmed over the commander's helmet, causing it to fly off, startling the clone for a moment before he glared at you.
"Die, Jedi scum," he said as you looked at his face.
Suddenly the reason why the clones seemed familiar hit you. The tattoos, the helmet, it was all fitting together.
"...Knot?" You asked.
Knot seemed startled that you knew his name but quickly raised his blaster at your face.
You couldn't do it, Knot was your best friend. Nothing would make you want to kill him.
"You're going to die," he said.
"Knot, you have to remember," you pleaded. "It's me, (y/n), we were best friends."
Knot kept his blaster raised.
"Please don't do this," you said. "Remember all the fun we had?"
You began to describe every moment you shared with Knot, hoping that he would be able to cling to his humanity.
Once you finished, Knot gave you a shocked look. You smiled to yourself as you looked into the eyes of your friend, but your smile quickly faded once his caring eyes turned into a glare.
"You're nothing to me," he said as his finger reached the trigger on his blaster.
"I'm sorry Knot," you said, deactivating your lightsaber and closing your eyes.
You heard the sound of his blaster go off as your life flashed through your head.
I love you 'Soka
And everything from your life vanished as you died, wishing you could've saved your best friend and the girl you loved.
