Okay, so I know the jist of it. I had amnesia for about 2 days. What ever.
I couldn't remember my own brothers' names.
Anyone with brown eyes, I would shy away from, but everyone understood that. Even Sandy, which I didn't wuite understand. I mean come on, Sandy couldn't hurt a fly.
Whenever I heard someone say his name, I would flinch.
J doesn't come around anymore, I'm beginning to think he's turned into a hermit.
Bean comes over all the time and talks to me about gigs and things like that. The band can't wait for me to be well enough to play again.
Not that I'm not already well enough to play, but after someone commits suicide right infront of you, you tend to be a little weary.
I didn't go to his funeral, neither did J or his father. His father did visit J though, according to Wolf. Apparently, J's dad decided to tell him that he has a second family on the other side of the country and that J can keep the house and he'll keep sending him checks until he's 23 years old. One hell of a guy, right? Wrong.
"Dad!" I yell down the hall.
"Yes, Squirrel?" He calls back. That's his pet name for me. I used to love it, then I hated it, now I just don't mind.
"Can I go visit J today?" I ask.
"I'll drive her, if you want, Dad!" Danny hollers from the kitchen.
"I can go too, if you want!" Teddy bellows from his room. We're a wonderful household. It makes me smile.
"She's fine, guys!" Dad calls to them, and I hear some grumblings but not enough of what they actually are saying.
"Is that a yes, Daddy?" I holler back down the hall.
"Yes, babygirl. Just be home before 10 tonight or call if you'll be staying over there, okay?" I can hear him standing up from his chair, walking towards my room.
"Thanks, Dad! And Danny, Teddy, I actually kind of want that ride, please!" I call to them.
"Ok!" says Danny.
"Yes'mm" calls Teddy.
Dad knocks on my door and then opens it. I stand up and run to him, his arms are open and I hug him tight. I'm still a little sore, but nothing a few advil can't fix. He kisses my hair and lets me go.
"I love you, Squirrel. Be careful okay?" He says to me.
I can't help but hug him again "I love you, back. And don't worry Daddy, I'll be okay." I kiss his cheek and grab my backpack which has some clothes in it, my guitar picks and some back up strings in it. Then I grab Fred and head into the living room. Teddy and Danny are waiting for me in the hallway to the front door.
I shake my head at them and then we're out the door.
