Chapter 4

I wake up excited that I can leave the house today. I stretch and I see a pair of sweatpants and a tshirt on the table. I get dressed and I walk out the room skeptical of Taleah. I walk outside and I start to run and I see someone following me. I start to run a little faster and so do they. I stop abruptly and the run up to me.

" Is there a fucking problem." I say and they look at me confused.

" I was just sent out here to watch you." The man says and I roll my eyes

" Of course you were." I say before turning back around and running again. I ignore the huge ass man behind me and I focus on my run until I see a turtle. I gasp and grab the turtle.

" Uh kid I dont think-" he says and I interrupt him.

" Please shut up." I say and I run back to the house. I get back to my room and I set the turtle down on the the floor. I quickly get into the shower and when I get out the turtle is gone.

" oh fuck fuck fuck." I say as I look for the turtle. I find her under the table. I took the turtle to the bathroom and I washed him off in the sink. I grab a spare towel and dry off. I set her in the closet and I run to the kitchen. I wash my hands and I look in the fridge for some lettuce and strawberries. I rush back to my room and I start to feed my turtle. I hear someone come in and I freeze.

" What the hell Reed." I hear Taleah say and I slowly turn around.

" Yes?" I say and she groans.

" Didnt Remy tell you no?" She asked and I shook my head.

" Actually what he said was more like ' Hey kid I dont think...' " I say and she sighed.

" So you cut him off, you need to apologize." She says

" I'm busy." I say bluntly and she shakes her head.

" That was a demand Reed." She says and I shrug and turn around. I hear her walking but I ignore it. The next thing I know I'm being pulled off the ground by my hair.

"Oww." I whine

" Apology now." She says and I shake my head the best I can.

" The turtle is leaving and you are stuck in here again." She says and I pout.

" Wait I'll do it." I say and she nods.

" Let's go." She says not letting go of my hair.

" Can you let go." I ask as I'm dragged down the hall.

" No." She says and I whine. We stop at a room and Taleah opens the door and there is Remy. Taleah shoves me into the room.

" What up?" He asked look at Taleah. She just grips my hair harder.

" Ow okay, I'm sorry." I say and he chuckles.

" Dont worry about it." He say and I give a fake smile as we walk back out.

" How hard was that?" Taleah asked sarcastically

" My insides are melting." I say and she rolls her eyes. I'm dragged back to the room and she finally stops fucking abusing me.

" Can I get a cage for my turtle?" I ask and she thinks for a moment.

" If you act like that again the turtle goes." She says and I nod.

" You'll have it by tomorrow." She says and I nod.

" Can I go to my apartment?" I ask and she shakes her head.

" Not to stay but like I just need to get like clothes and stuff." I say and she thinks for a moment.

" I swear Reed of you do anything stupid." She says and I roll my eyes.
