Next morning, I got up and dressed and left for the university quickly.

I continued avoiding Harvey and Caleb and directly went to my class.

Unfortunately, Harvey is in my class and I for a fact knew, he'd come and sit next to me, especially now that he knows that I'm ignoring him.

When he entered the class, he smiled and waved at me. I just looked down at my book.

He sits down next to me, just as I knew. He snatched the pen I was writing with.

"Harvey, give it back." I say already annoyed.

"You're mad at me?" He asks while still keeping the pen away from my reach.

"No, I'm not." I say because if I told him the truth then he would irritate me, trying to convince me.

"But it looks like you are."

"Well, I'm not."

"Okay. Then talk to me."

"I'm talking to you right now, aren't I?

"You know what I mean." He narrows his eyes.

"Harvey, first give me my pen back please."

I get up to grab it back but my bag falls down and I almost trip. Harvey quickly got up and caught me before I fell down and embarrassed myself.

"Thanks." I say and start to bend down to get my bag.

"Wait, I'll get it." Harvey says and picks up my bag from the ground and returns my pen.

Harvey continued troubling me the entire class. I had given up on 'being mad at him' long time back.

After classes, I came out and sat in the lawn of the English Department.

Caleb and Harvey came and sat down beside me.

"Clary, if you're mad at us, we have a good..." Caleb starts.

"I'm not, really. At least not after Harvey irritated me first period."

"More like, she couldn't resist my charm." Harvey says.

"Right." I say and roll my eyes.

"You don't have any." Caleb says at the same time.

"Shut up. Anyway, there's a family dinner at my place. Can you come? Please." Harvey asks.

"Harvey, it's a family dinner. I'm not family."

"Caleb is coming too. Besides, you both are really close to me and I can't be with Ethan alone."

"Oh no! I don't want to face Ethan either." I quickly reject his offer.

"He's gonna be here for a while. You should try to be..."

"Yeah, I know. But..."

"But please Clary."

"Okay fine." I say knowing Harvey wouldn't give up.

"Thank you so much." He says excited.

"Hey, have you seen my phone?" I ask them while searching in my bag for it.

"No, why? Did you lose it?" Harvey answers.

"I don't know. It was here earlier."

"Maybe you left it in your car." Caleb says.

"I checked it before my first class."

"We can help you look for it." Harvey offers.

🦋

"See you later, Clary." Harvey walked me to my car.

Later, when I was on my way back home. I heard my phone ringing. When I checked my bag, it was right there.

How is that possible? I probably checked my bag a hundred times. Or am I just blind?

I'm never telling the boys that it was in my bag. They tried to help me find it for about half an hour.

I saw the caller ID and it was one of my best friends from high school. I last talked to her the night we had a party, the night I met Harvey for the first time at the church.

"Hey Stacy. What's up?" I ask.

"Nothing, Clary. I missed you. I thought we decided to stay in touch after we left for college but you haven't even called me once."

"Of course. I missed you too. We should meet soon."

"Yeah about that, Dean and I were talking yesterday. I wanted to ask if you'd want to come meet?"

"Sure. When?"

"How about Friday?"

"Uhh Stace, I have something on Friday. Can we meet tomorrow or maybe Saturday?" I say remembering the dinner at Harvey's.

"Yeah we can do it tomorrow. I'm sure Dean would say yes, I'll still confirm and text you."

"Okay. Bye, talk to you later."
