The Beginning

1001 AD

August 2nd

The Earth takes a deep, shuttering breath as the first of the Mikaelson siblings awakens. Mikeal guides a young girl from the village towards his children, and one by one forces them to feed from her.

After they finish, Elijah looks at the random village girl, but realizes that it is actually his one true love. His wife. He hears her faint heart beat and a overwhelming sense of glee fills every part of him.

August 27th

The Mikealson siblings make their way out of the village they once called home. They can never return again, for they are no longer welcome. They are monsters. Bloodsucking monsters who feed off the innocent.

Each sibling left something behind, but most importantly, Elijah. He left behind his one true love, and his unborn child, one he didn't know about. When he fled with his siblings, he unknowingly gave up all the rights to his family.

September 19th

Astra Forde makes her way to the guy where her husbands family once lived in. The only habitants left are Esther and Mikeal.

"Astra, are you okay?" Esther asks as the young girl makes her way towards the witch.

"I need your help. My stomach has been hurting, and I've been vomiting every morning for a month. I think I might be pregnant." She tells her. The words hang in the air, and they both stare at one another, knowing what this means.

"Come with me." Esther says. They both walk in to the hut and the younger girl lays down on the straw floor. She sets herself up for a spell. "Astra, dear, I believe you are about four months. I can't tell for sure, but I can feel your baby. I think you are having a girl." Astra lifts a hand to her mouth and a sob escapes her lips.

My baby will have to grow without a father. She thinks.

December 24th

Though the village is quiet, there is one hut that is beating with sound. A loud groan and scream comes from within, and then the soothing voices of two women.

Baby Erica has decided to come early.

All of a sudden, silence echoes through the hut. All of the woman stop their noises at once.

"Is she okay?" One faint voice asks. Within seconds a slight cry makes its way in the small space of the hut. There is a collective sigh, and then all of the voices and noises start up once more.

December 25th

Just minutes after the beautiful baby girls birth, a man storms into the hut. He looks at the three heavy breathing women, then to the one laying on the floor.

"You did this! You're trying to get my son back! You've been in contact! Where are my children?" He yells, holding a knife to the new mothers throat. The other two women grab the child and flee from the scene.

"I don't know!" she sobs out. "I haven't heard from Elijah since they left. Is he back?"

The man looks at her with a look no one can place, then ends her life within seconds. He storms out of the hut and passes the two women, one still holding onto the now orphaned child.

January 1st

Esther Mikaelson stand in her hut, knowing what's coming for her. More like who's coming for her. Her son now knows what he is, and he plans to make her pay for keeping the secret from him.

The opening of the hut moves, and in walks the exact person she was waiting for.

After an hour or so of conversation, the man leaves his mothers dead body in the hut.

Before her death, she placed a curse on the baby girl. When she reaches her 16th birthday, she will stop aging. She will fall into a deep sleep, and will only awaken when the next Petrova doppelgänger is born. Her life will be tied to them, and when they die, she is sent back to sleep.

Esther didn't want this child to live without any hope, so she made it possible for the girl to break her curse, but.... no one knows how.
