I hear a knock on the door, so I sit up and groan as all my stiff muscles stretch. I look over at Jenny and see she's still as stable as can be. They're not sure if she's gonna make it.

I walk over to the door and open it.

"Ms Astor, can I speak with you?" I choose not to correct the nurse and just roll with them. I nod and she looks down at her chart. "Your mother has suffered severe injuries. They were able to stop some of the bleeding, but not all of it. We're going to have to wait the night and open her back up in the morning to find the second source." I nod.

"Why couldn't they stop all of the bleeding? If she's just laying there, internally bleeding, won't she die?" I question the nurse. She sighs.

"Her condition is too unstable to have kept her open any longer than they did. We will reassess tomorrow to see if she can make it through another surgery." I roll my eyes. This hospital is full of idiots.

"Where is her doctor? I don't want some nurse that's giving me the information second hand. I want the doctor who operated on her!" My voice rises with her word I say until the point that I'm yelling. I notice nurses and doctors staring at me and I groan. "Get me the darn doctor that operated on my mother!" With that, I walk into Jenny's room and slam the door. I grab a cup that sits on her bedside table and throw it at the wall. It bounces off and clatters on the floor.

I look at my phone and see that it's currently 4:30 a.m. I see I have 17 missed calls from various people and 32 text messages from the same ones who called. Guess Elena gave everyone my number.

Before I can sit back down in the chair, the door opens and I see a man in a white coat.

"Ms Astor, I was told you wish to speak with me?" I nod and sigh. He looks at the cup on the floor then back to me and closes the door.

"Your mother is in critical condition right now. If she makes it through the night... well that would be a miracle." I stop him short by putting my hand up.

"I don't want the basic bull crap. I don't need you to tell me to hope and pray or any of that crap, I want you to tell me why on earth you didn't take care of all of her bleeding while you were in there! I've seen people in worse shape go into one surgery and come back alive!" Once I realize what I've said, my hand flys to my mouth. I gasp and then look at Jenny and then go to leave the room. Before I can make it out, the doctors hand grabs my wrist and pulls me into his chest.

His arm is wrapped right around my throat and he starts to cut off air circulation. The harder he pulls, the higher I'm lifted off the ground. I struggle to get away from him, but nothing works. I finally scream and he lets go of me. I fall to the ground gasping for breath and stand up to leave again.

This time, he grabs my ponytail and pulls me back by my hair. I fall again and he pulls me back up. He hits my head on the wall and I hear a loud crunch from my nose. I feel warm was trickle down o to my lips and groan. The guy pulls me up to my feet, but this time I kick him in between the legs. He lets go of me and groans.

I take this as my chance to escape and sprint out the door. I run into a medical cart and feel something different into my thigh. I look down and see a scalpel that still has the packaging go on the handle. I pull it out and then take off towards the exit.
