It's been a week since they closed the house, which was a week after Jenny and Larry's murder. I've officially been in Mystic Falls for two months now, and everything feels weird. Bailey and I are dating, and I'm living with the Salvatore's since I technically don't have a home anymore.
I've tried calling Adam, but he refuses to answer me. Damon, Bailey, and I searched the house for anything we could find for a solid twelve hours, but there was nothing there. The police let me take whatever I wanted, and since I didn't really know the Astors, it wasn't much.
I was finally able to get the courage to ask Damon where my dads house is, and he told me. We drove by and I saw that it is a beautiful mansion with hundreds of windows and a large lawn. The perfect house for a perfect family. Which is not my case.
My dad still doesn't know anything about me. I've gone to his house seven times, but I never even got to the walkway before I would chicken out and leave.
Right now, I sit at the grill with Bailey, and we're eating some lunch and doing our school work. It's a Saturday so we don't have school, but we both like to stay ahead of our work as much as possible.
"I think I want to meet my dad." I say. Bailey looks up at me from her chemistry homework and smiles.
"That's awesome, babe. Do you wanna go now?" I shake my head and she nods. "Whenever you're ready, I will be your immediate chauffeur. I smile and grab her hand. She squeezes mine and then turns back to her work. I watch her as she bites her lip. She always does that when she's focusing.
I hear Baileys phone ring, so I look up from my work and watch her answer it. I cock my head to the side, but she rolls her eyes. I smirk and she huffs an 'okay' and then hangs up on the person.
"I have to go. Bonnie needs my help with some spell." I nod and she gathers her bags. She stands up and comes around the booth to give me a kiss and then walks out. I sigh and look back down at my history homework. Nope. This is boring. I wave over to Matt and he smiles as he walks towards me.
"What's up?" He asks as he pulls out his notepad.
"Can I get our ticket? I'm bored with my homework, so I'm gonna go to the park." He laughs and nods. He pulls the paper off and tells me the prices. I thank him and hand him some cash. I then start to gather my stuff and walk over to the register to meet him half-way.
I grab the change from Matt and then say a goodbye to him. As I turn to walk out the door, a man bumps into me, but continues to walk away.
"Hey, jerk, why don't you look where you're going next time!" He turns around and looks at me confused. I roll my eyes and sigh then walk out the door. Some people really are just on the earth to be rude for no reason.
