"Ellen Harley get down here now!" I roll my eyes at Macready's voice, flipping the page of my book as I walk across my room.
"Give me five minutes!" I shout out the door.

"No shouting!"

"You're shouting," I mutter, closing my book and laying it on my dresser before looking up at the mirror. I ran a brush through my blond, mid back length hair quickly, running out of my room and sliding down the banister.

Macready was waiting at the bottom of the stairs, hands on her hips. "You know, it's about time you start wearing a dress instead of that ridiculous outfit."

I look down at my fitted white top, the sleeves came to my elbows and the bottom ruffled out, it was just enough frill to make it pretty. The pants were basically leggings, but I thought they looked nice with my knee high black boots.

"I like it," I cocked my head to the side, my lips curling into a smirk. "Are you, perhaps, realizing that it wouldn't look good on you?"

Macready's face shifted from shock to outrage in a split second.

I smiled, walking past her and to the front door.
"I'm going to the woods, I'll return when the evacuees are here."
"How dare you-"

I was gone before she could finish.

The trees soon surrounded me, birds chirping all around. I felt closest to finding my lost memories here, wandering the dirt paths I had made in the three years I had been here. A fox ran by, chasing a rabbit through the bushes.

Before long Macready came back, shooing four kids into the house as I emerged from my safe haven and ran for the back door.

I just made it to the entrance hall to see the older girl reach for a statue. "NO!" The girl jumped at the Macready's yelp. "No touching of the priceless artifacts!"

I grinned and the three other kids smiled at eachother.

Macready looked straight at me.

"Ah, Ellen. Please escort these four to their rooms."

I strode out of the shadows, nodding at the housekeeper.

She left, leaving the five of us in awkward silence.

I finally cracked and smiled.

"I'm Elentiya." The oldest boy frowned in confusion, his blue eyes curious.

"But...she called you Ellen." I rolled my eyes, leaning against the statue.
"It's a nickname. I hate it unless it's said by certain people." The boy nodded slowly, his blond hair falling into his eyes. "I'm Peter. This is Lucy," A girl, maybe 10 or 11, stepped up beside him. She had blue eyes like her brother, her brown hair chin length. I smiled warmly at Lucy.
"It's a pleasure, young lady."

The other girl grinned, also blue eyed and brown haired, and put a hand on Lucy's shoulder. "I'm Susan. And this," She reached behind Peter where the other boy was hiding and pulled him into view. "is Edmund."

The boy scowled at her while I studied him closely. He looked my age and almost as tall as Peter, but was basically his complete opposite. Edmund's eyes were a dark brown, his hair raven black, and his entire posture was tense.

I smirked at him, he frowned back as I turned and started climbing the stairs. "Come on. I'll show you your rooms." They grabbed their luggage and trotted after me.

(I hope you guys like it! Also, I'm making Elentiya's hair brown instead.;))
