Susan POV

I watched in horror as the Witch plunged the knives into Aslan and Elentiya's chests.

They both stiffened but made no sound, falling still.

Lucy whimpered beside me and I hugged her, she cried against me, watching the Witch stand.

"The great Cat and His daughter... are dead!!"

Cheers ran through the hideous horde of creatures.

"General, prepare your troops for battle. However short it may be." Jadis said, looking away from Aslan and Elentiya.

I sobbed and looked away as well.

The horde soon disappeared into the woods, we waited a few minutes before walking into the clearing.

The moon was the only light now.

We walked up the stairs and sat between the two.

Lucy sobbed again, burying her face in what was left of Aslan's mane.

I reached over and pulled the gag from Elentiya's mouth, crying the entire time.

"They must've known what they were doing." I said and Lucy nodded.

Mice came and started chewing on the ropes binding our two friends.

I pulled the ropes off Aslan's muzzle, then took them off of Elentiya's wrists and ankles.

We sat there, crying and wishing they would wake up and smile at us.

I finally turned to Lucy.

"We have to tell the others."

"We can't just leave them!"

"Lucy there's no time. They need to know." I whispered, thinking of their reactions.

It would hit Peter hard, everyone hard.

And Edmund....he was going to be heartbroken. I knew he had liked Elentiya since the day we met, always watching her and trying to get her approval.

"No," Lucy said. "the trees will tell them."

A breeze had picked up, blowing leaves and a message to our brothers.

Edmund's POV

I woke to a woman made of flower petals staring at me and Peter.

He was pointing his sword at her, I sat up reaching for mine.

"Be still, my princes. I bring you grave news from your sisters."

I froze, looking up at her.

She was staring at me.

"The great Aslan and His daughter have fallen to the White Witch."

Peter gasped.

I was already running outside past the flower woman, flying towards Elentiya's tent.

I flung the flap open, calling her name.

It was empty.

I saw her sword on her bed and a note, I picked them up and read the note quickly.

Edmund,
By now I'm sure you've figured out I'm gone. Please don't blame yourself, I made the decision to save you and Aslan. Take care of everyone for me. I'm sorry.
El

I whimpered and tucked the note in my pocket, going outside again, clutching Elentiya's sword.

Peter was at Aslan's tent, staring at the ground.

I walked up to him, he looked between me and the sword.

"They're gone." I said quietly, my voice breaking at the end.

Peter pulled me into a hug.

"I'm sorry, Ed. I know you liked her alot."

I nodded and stepped away as Oreius came to us.

"Are the rumors true?" He asked.

I nodded again.

"Yes." Peter said, staring at the map on the table.

"Then you'll have to lead us." I said, strapping Elentiya's sword around my waist.

Peter looked at me.

"Aslan believed you could. So did El. I do too."

Susan POV

Lucy and I were walking back down the stairs when a giant crack sounded behind us and made us fall to our hands and knees.

"Susan!" Lucy cried.

I turned, standing again and gasping. Aslan and Elentiya's bodies were gone, and the Stone Table had buckled inward into two pieces.

Apologies for not saying anything lately, I didn't have much time to write these so I kinda forgot :( Also there's over a 100 views already! Thank you guys!! :)
