Several hours after my assignment was given to me, I've been shuffling through documents and other accounts of where Ango had been working. Most days, he's away on business, as he doesn't do much back at home. Right now, I was at his home, an empty room at the top floor of a tall hotel building. In the room contained a couch on one side, with a desk and a stool across from it. I'd assumed the room as pretty much empty, considering he was away. A fancy place like this would be owned by the mafia, or at least had some sort of connections. As soon as Ango's name had left my lips, a room key was placed in my hands.
I carefully observed the room to see if there was anything that was seemingly out of place. The furniture was completely simplistic just as he was. To be truthful with you, I couldn't exactly say that I'd known him. At that bar, we'd never really told each other about ourselves other than what we knew each other for: our work. Even after knowing Dazai for so long, I still couldn't grasp who he really was. We all shown each other the same thing: a blank canvas. Yet, we still put the effort to strike up a conversation with each other.
If anything, (Y/N) was the person I'd grown to know the most. Her intentions weren't originally to be in the mafia, but after returning to Yokohama, she accepted this new light. Frankly, I'd felt as if she needed to free herself. She was an angel that grew wings, but never taught herself how to fly. Maybe in a moment of desperation, I could tell her to leave this life. After all, she was the only one who'd known my reasons for not killing. If I followed through with that, I'd take her with me. I saw her as a younger sister, yet I still watched her from a distance.
Eventually I plopped myself on the stool after some time of rummaging through the apartment. I looked up," Ango Sakaguchi. No one knew who you really were..." I looked up at the ceiling in exhaustion. There was really nothing here to observe. My eyes traveled to an air vent that almost disguised itself with the ceiling. Originally I thought that it had nothing to provide, but I had a feeling that there was some sort of clue. I got up from the stool and used it to stand on, my hands traveling towards the vent, pushing the lid up. I moved my hand around the empty space, cold hair hitting my hand as I did.
I touched a metal safe, which had caught my attention. I pulled it out from the vent, putting it under my arm as I placed the lid back on. I stared back at it, noticing that it was locked. I had nothing on me, so I couldn't open it.
Time stopped there for a short second.
The white safe in my hand was dyed a crimson red. Not only was it covered red, but same with the walls and the floor. It was my own blood. Blood gushed out of my own chest, as I'd been pierced from the back by a sniper.
The vision ended there.
I gasped, immediately dodging the bullets and back rolled to a wall. I noticed the shine of a gun: a sniper. I sighed. My ability allows me to see five-six seconds into the future, giving me a short wall of time before I can do something to avoid that possibility.

" Dazai?," I spoke into the phone while rushing past residents in the hotel. " Hey, Odasaku!," his voice sung," It's rare of you to call. Find a joke so hilarious that you just had to-" Someone tried to snipe me.," I interrupted his speech, panting as I was running out of the building. " I was in Ango's room.," I informed," I'm going after the sniper right now. He could've gone off through to the backstreets." " You'd like for me to block off his escape, correct?," Dazai asked through the phone. I hesitated for a moment," I have the Silver Oracle with me. If you wou-"
" There's not need for that," he said with a kind undertone," I'll have my men blockade the roads immediately. I'm heading over as well. Don't push yourself too hard, Odasaku."
