The Final Mission as a Team

"Izumi's clan swords are special. The only one who can hold this sword is me. If someone else took this sword, the sword itself will kill the person. That's why I didn't let you wield it, Tenma-san".

"I see. I'm so sorry about before. I promise that I'll make it up to you", Tenma replies with a smile and gives (y/n) a thumbs up.

Tenma turns his head to Itachi and talks again, "Don't worry, Itachi. I still remember my promise to you too. I'll make it up to you too."

The three of them smile to each other. The boys wrap their arm at (y/n)'s neck and they burst into laughter.

It feels so nostalgic as a flashback came back and show their memories together as a team, being replay in their head.

The three of them were still gennins. They had a mission to find a cat. Ninja cat.

It's not as easy as it sounds. It was quite hard. They need to wear a cat-ear hairband in order to accomplish this mission. The hairband was actually a Ninja tool. It allows the user to communicate with cats.

While in their mission, Tenma pulled (y/n)'s hand and whispered at her.

"Actually, our cla-, m-my dad is sick and he maybe couldn't get better".

"Huh! W-What h-happened to him", (y/n) asked him with a worried face.

"It's-, um, it's hard to explain but- I-I want to save him!" He told her while holding her hands firmly. He seemed so sad and frustrated.

"I-Is t-there something t-that we can do?" The timid girl asked. She really wanted to help her friend especially in this case, it's about his father's live.

"Um, I need ninja cat's whiskers to heal him. The whiskers is my only chance to save him from that unknown illness. I need to make him a medicine from it", he told (y/n) while grabbing her shoulder.

"Please, (y/n). I'm begging to you. Let's team up and find this cat. Please. I need his whiskers for my dad!" His tears started to form in his eyes.

"O-Of course I'll help. I-I think, we need Itachi-kun's help t-too", (y/n) answered while holding her shirt firmly in her fist.

"Wha- No. He doesn't have to get involved in this. Besides, I don't think he wants to help. He just keep focusing on the mission and that's all", Tenma screamed his thoughts to (y/n).

"I-Itachi-kun i-is not-".

(y/n) didn't have a chance to finish her words because Itachi suddenly appeared out of nowhere and he's now standing beside her.

"Tenma, (y/n). Let's go. Minazuki-sensei already located the cat", Itachi told (y/n) and Tenma.

Both Tenma and (y/n) sweat dropped after Itachi greeted them like that. His expression is so hard to read, of course, he doesn't show his true emotions to public very often. Tenma squeezed (y/n)'s hand to remind her about their plan and (y/n) nodded in agreement.

They went to the spot where Minazuki was waiting for them. Minazuki pointed his finger to the corner of the building. The three of them looked at the corner and they saw the cat that they're looking for.

"There he is", Tenma said.

(y/n) looked a little bit concerned towards Tenma. She wanted to tell Itachi about that but Tenma looked at her with a sharp look to warn her, so that she will never tell Itachi.
