Itachi and (y/n) travelled inside the forest for almost 2 hours. They tried to avoid any unnecessary battle, but they still have to get the Earth scroll from the other teams.
Itachi took a lead while (y/n) followed behind him in a safe distance. (y/n) act as a tracker eventhough she's not a sensory-type ninja. It because of her good hearing ability. While Itachi act as a defense if any enemy show up in front of them. He also checked the trail if there's any traps or anything. Both of them never let their guards down.
(Your POV)
I can feel that this place is kind of safe for now.
"Itachi-kun, I think we should stop here and rest".
"Are hurt, (y/n)?" He asked me and his face tells everything, he looked so worried.
"No, no. I'm fine. It's just- I think we should stop for now and set up some traps around this area and we can continue our scout when the sun goes down", I answered him, hoping that he'll understand.
"Hhmm, that's kinda good idea. We can attack at night when almost everyone lower their guard, right?"
I just nodded with a smile on my face. I knew he will understand what I'm going to do.
"We can set up a fire to trick them as well", I added.
"Just like that time, right?"
I nodded and gave him a smile. It's not that hard actually. This test just want to test our survival skills. Itachi-kun is good in this. But still, I don't want to be a burden for him. I will make sure that we'll become a chunnin together.
"There's a small river over there, I'll get some fish and woods for us. (y/n), you can handle the traps, okay?"
I nodded and said, "Sure, no problem".
"You're better with traps than me", Itachi-kun added.
I blushed a little when he praised me like that. Eventhough it's not something big or special, but I felt so appreciated.

(y/n) set up a few traps around their resting spot. She put the traps within the radius of 500 metres too 800 metres. It will allowed her to hear the enemy's movement easily and she can detect them accurately.
She jumped on a tree branch to go back to meet Itachi. She was very careful too not leave any tracks or sign that she had been there.
She jumped down when he saw Itachi was already there with a few fishes in his arms. Itachi also ready to lit up their fire for the night.
(y/n) hurriedly went to Itachi and said, "Wait, Itachi-kun!".
Itachi froze and turned to face (y/n). He seemed a little confused.
"What's wrong?"
"I think we should wait until it's dark in here to lit up the fire, Itachi-kun. You can use your fire style jutsu or my lightning style jutsu to cook this fish". (y/n) told her plan to her teammate.
"Hhmm, that's such a good idea. We don't want to attract the enemy so early. It's okay, (y/n), let me use my fire style jutsu to cook this fish", he said while putting the fish in front of him.
(y/n) step behind Itachi to keep a safe distance from the fire.
"Fire style: Fireball Jutsu!"
