"But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." - Matthew 6:6

"Are you guys hungry?" I said to the twins.

Layla and Mayla: "Yes."

"What do you guys want for lunch?"

Mayla: "A sandwich."

"What kind?"

Layla: "Turkey."

Mayla: "With cheese."

Layla: "With fruit."

Mayla: "And vegetable."

Layla and Mayla: "With juice too, please."

"Alright."

I went to the kitchen to make 2 turkey cheese sandwich with cabbage in it. After making their sandwich, I went to the fridge to get some grapes, baby carrots, celery and watermelon to wash Then cut to put on their plates.

After I was done making their lunch, I gave them their lunch.

Layla: "Thank you."

"You're welcome."

Mayla: "Thank you."

"You're welcome."

While they were eating their lunch, I continued writing a short poem I was dressing in mind.

I'm an emotion.
I surface joy in the day,
And face the pain in the night.

Why is that I keep reminiscing
That day in the mind?
Why is my cry an intuition that I keep hidden from those who care?

While my emotions are pouring high,
Tears roll down my face.
For each emotion that comes and goes,
It's the sadness that stays within me.

I've always known that It was stupid of me to cry about this but still, my mental state has continued to force myself to keep my sadness hidden.

At that point of me finishing my poem, I feel a tear roll down my face and Layla calling my name.

Layla: "Auntie, are you okay?"

Mayla: "Why are you crying?"

"I just got something in my eye, are you guys done eating your lunch?"

Mayla: "Yes."

Layla: "Yup.

"Okay, you guys can go back to your coloring."
