"hey, kev and jacob, can you make a run for food since the other two had problems to deal with and we're on watch?" eric asked, running a hand through his hair and pouting at having to be on guard duty. it actually wasnt that bad, he just preferred anything else over it.
"yeah, of course!" jacob spoke quietly before facing kevin, gently shaking his shoulder and mumbling something in his ear. the younger groaned, rubbing at his eyes tiredly. the oldest knew that he would be grumpy, knowing that he didnt appreciate being woken up from his nap nor having to get up from the comfortable position he had established again his boyfriend's shoulder.
the younger rubbed at his eyes again before slinging his gun over his back after standing up, the dirty blonde doing the exact same before hooking his arm around kevin's, making the mood of the other lighten by a bit.
it was tempting. very tempting, actually, to go back to where they came from and collect everything else. kevin thought of the photo that he saw, but figured that jacob didnt find much meaning to it even if he kept it.
"come on, kev, stop stalling," jacob whined, obviously hungry and not satisfied by the gangly rabbit that juyeon and eric had found. "its gonna be dark soon!"
"by god, jacob, i love you, but i just woke up. im bound to be slow." the younger mumbled out a complaint, trying his best to not fall back asleep.
"literally shut up, ive known you practically my whole life, thats one of the worst lies that youve told yet." jacob laughed, his eyes squinting and causing hm to not be able to see everything around him clearly.
