As Tanjiro and Inosuke walked inside they met up with Zenitsu.

"Oh you found him Tanji!"

"So why did Gonpachiro drag me all the way here Monitsu?"

"For the last time Inosuke it's ZEN-IT-SU. The reason we brought you here is because we have to tell you something."

"What? That your actually a cat or that you two are dating?"

"What? No! Tanji why is he saying that we're dating??? And I'm not a stupid cat!!!"

"Well at least a cat is smarter then you! And cuter!"

"How dare you!? You take that back right now!"

"Make me!"

"Tanji, am I cute and smart???"

"Well of course! And can you two stop arguing? We wanted to tell you that we're going out on a mission!"

"Why would I care??? I thought something actually important was happening! You brought me in here just to tell me that?"

"Jeez Inosuke! Me and Tanji just wanted to say good bye before we go out!"

"Okay then! Good bye! Can I pleaseee go back outside and continue sharpening my swords???"

"I don't want to see you anymore so go ahead!"

"Inosuke! Zenitsu! Can we not leave it on a bad note?"

"Fine. I'm sorry Inosuke and good bye."

"Bye."

Inosuke rushed outside to go bang rock against his swords once more.

"We still have some time before we go! I'd there anything we need to do before that Tanji?"

"Well we should pack some food. We never know what's going to happen! And I'll get some medical supplies from Shinobu!"

"Good idea. I'll get a blanket from my room to put on top of the basket."

"Okay I'll meet you in your room!"

"Sure thing!"

The two parted ways as they went to go do thier part for packing.

"I should get a light blanket so I don't add any extra weight. Hmm... Do we have any light blankets?"

Zenitsu rummaged through the blankets he had in his room until he found the lightest one.

"It's still a bit heavy but I should work! Tanjiro should be here so I could try the basket... No. Maybeee. Only for a second! No longer then that."

Zenitsu walked over to the basket and got in. Only a bit of the top of his head was poking out.

"It's actually comfy... Wow! With the blanket on top I'll just look like Tanjiro's carrying a bunch of fire wood. Sweet! A disguise and a safe place to stay while it's light out."

Zenitsu stood up and got out of the basket. He started to wonder when Tanjiro was going to come back.

"I know the village is only about 3 hours away but this is the longest mission I've gone on with just me and Tanjiro. At least Inosuke won't be yelling at us. That's a good thing! Yeah!"

As Zenitsu was about to continue his ramble he heard someone walking down the hall. He opened the door and waved at Tanjiro.

"I'm all ready! How about you?"

"I got everything we need! We can leave in a few minutes!"

"Sure!"

"Is there anything else we need to do before we go? I don't want to leave anything behind."

"Nope! I got everything covered!"

"Thanks Tanji, you're the best!"

He ran up to Tanjiro and gave him a big hug. Tanjiro held Zenitsu closer and gave him a pat on the head.

"You don't seem too nervous as usual Zen."

"Is that a bad thing?"

"No no! It's quite the opposite! It's a great thing! I'm glad too see your calmer!"

"I guess that's true! We should get going soon."

"Just get in the basket and I'll do the rest."

"Okay."

Zenitsu hopped in the basket and snuggled in. Tanjiro tucked the blanket around Zenitsu and but the basket on his back.

"You ready to go Zen?"

"Yep! Are you sure I'm not to heavy?"

"I carry Nezuko all day, I'm fine!"

Tanjiro left the manor and headed towards the vast hillside. The trip maybe long but at least he had Zenitsu right along with him.
