As the sun started to set further and the winds started to blow, the 2 were left alone under the night stars.
"You can come out Zenitsu! Its so pretty tonight!"
"Put the basket down first at least, I can't jump out."
"Sure sure, give me a sec."
The basket slipped off with ease and while putting it down he could see Zenitsu's little face poke out of the blanket.
"You coming out? I can still carry you if you want."
"Im fine. Besides, I'd rather walk beside you."
"Really? Thanks Zen! Just let me know if you want in the basket!"
Tanjiro picked up the basket and the 2 started to walk under the starry sky together. The trip was calm and peaceful as the cool summer breeze drifted along. Summer nights we're always Zenitsu's favorite, it was always soothing the sounds of a late summer night.
"I can't believe I've been missing out on this. Maybe we can go outside every night when we're on our days off!! It's so much fun!"
"Well it is the only time you van go outside now so I don't see why not! The night isn't as scary as you think!"
"No way! I may be a demon now but they are still terrifying as ever!!"
"You have a point, but you know were here to find a demon right?"
"Don't. Remind. Me."
As the 2 carried on the moon started to rise higher in the sky and the air got colder. Zenitsu cuddled into Tanjiro side and the they went on their way.
"Do you hear that?"
"I smell it for sure."
On cue a figure leaped out of the bushes and ponced at Zenitsu.
"ZEN LOOK OUT!"
As Zenitsu's head hit the rough rocky path he latched onto the demon. Locked in a tussle Tanjiro waited for the right moment to end the demon's life making sure it was the right one. Once finished he rushed to Zenitsu's side.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt? Is your head okay???"
"Im just a bit tired... C-can you carry me?"
"I don't mind at all. Even though the fight was short you still did great-"
As he was giving praise to the short yellow haired boy he heard his little snores he knew he was sound asleep. The sun ready to rise soon and the 2 boys entered a nearby village. Tanjiro stumbled a house with a wisteria crest and knocked on the door.
"Oh welcome! We weren't expecting any brave slayers today so the house isn't the tidiest but please do come in!"
The home was roomy and welcoming, the women showed them to their room and tanjiro tucked Zenitsu in.
"Goodnight Zen Zen. Sleep well."
As Tanjiro was about to get into his bed he felt a tug on his arm.
"Don't leave me yet Tanji... Just a little longer."
"Sure, i dont mind one bit."
Tanjiro grabbed futon and placed it beside Zenitsu's. He got under the covers and Zenitsu wrapped his arms around him then quickly falling asleep.
"Goodnight."
Tanjiro kissed his forehead before dozing off to sleep.

Thank you all SM for reading the new chapter!!! Sorry i haven't updated in like years but like no motivation and ig the fight scene put me down- (reason why it was HELLA short cause i dont wanna write that crap >:c) Sorry if this chapter kinda sucked-
Anyways i'll try to add more chapters on a good basis but like again im working on my SabiGiyuu fic too and it needs love as well (*Cough Cough read it if you ship SabiGiyuu Cough Cough*)
