Tanjiro shut the door as the 3 hashiras waited outside the door.

"Don't worry! You're doing better than Nezuko when she became a demon, so I think you'll be fine!"

"Y-you think so?"

"Yep! She attcked me on sight and look at her now!"

Zenitsu hugged Tanjiro, he didn't know how to feel. He was scared, happy and worried. He had no idea what was going to happen and that was the scariest thing for him.

"You don't have to do this for me Tanjiro!"

"Zenitsu you... You don't get how this feels! I have to do this! I- I can't deal with this! Not again! This happened once because I wasn't there to help my family and now it happened due to the same reason to my best friend! Do you know how I feel? It hurts! I hate this feeling!"

Tanjiro rested his head on his shoulder. Finally letting go, a few tears run down his cheek onto Zenitsu's haori. Zenitsu pulled him colder and started to rub his back. He didn't know any other way to comfort him.

"Tan- Tanjiro I'm sorry! It's not your fault! It's mine! I was too trusting! You're the... You're the helping me through all of this. I just barged in your room and you helped me with the only question being what happened!"

Both resting in each others embrace Tanjiro rubs Zenitsu's head as Zenitsu pats his back.

"Zenitsu I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..."

"It's fine! Can- can we stay like this please Tanjiro?"

Tanjiro nods his head and hugs Zenitsu a bit tighter. Zenitsu moves his head closer to where Tanjiro's neck and shoulder meets and closes his poor teary eyes. Tanjiro puts his head on top of his and stays there. He smells the sweet smell of peaches and the calm aroma. Zenitsu breaks the silence but with quite an odd comment.

"Hey Tanjiro? You smell... Really nice."

Tanjiro looked him in the eyes with a confused look, still hugging him.

"What do you mean I smell nice? Shouldn't I be saying that to yo-"
