Prologue

"Ms. Cravalho, what do you think about the new recipe?"

"Okay lang."

Napuno ng katahimikan yung loob ng conference room dahil sa sagot ko, may mali ba sa sagot ko? Kung may mali man, dapat maki sama nalang sila dahil ako naman ang CEO!

"T-that's it Ms. Cravalho?"

Dami namang tanong ng head chef na 'to! Tinaasan ko nalang siya ng kilay at sumenyas na mag patuloy na.

Hindi pa man ako nakakalingon alam ko na kung sino 'yon.

"Why are you late?" Masungit na tanong ko.

"I went to check the site earlier madam." umupo siya sa may tabi ko at nag patuloy na sa pag sasalita yung head chef namin.

Papunta ako ngayon sa office ko, my employees greeted me and I just smiled at them.

"Laiza, what's my schedule for tomorrow?" I asked my secretary while taking a look at the papers that she gave earlier.

"Meeting with Mr. Fuentavelia the financial head and dinner with the Austria family."

"That's it?" I'm just surprised dahil kaunti lang ang schedule ko for tomorrow, usually kasi punong-puno. Pero okay na 'to, once in a blue moon but do I really need to attend the dinner? "Yes ma'am, that's all."

"Feels like an elephant on top of my chest." I sighed and massage my head.

"I think you should attend the dinner, mag usap kayo para naman makahinga ka na ng maluwag." Laiza suggested. She's a friend of mine kaya kapag kaming dalawa lang sa opisina wala ng formalities.

"Pag iisipan ko." she just nodded her head and excuse herself dahil may mga trabaho pa siyang gagawin. Pag ka labas niya, Nakita kong papasok si kuya with a teasing smile.

"I saw Engineer Makino earlier sa site."

"So what are you implying here?" Mataray na tanong ko.

"Siya pa rin ba?" Inayos ko ang mga gamit ko at tumayo. "Stop bringing back the past kuya." Lalabas na sana ako nang bigla niyang hinatak ang braso ko.

"Talk to Andrielle."

"Ally, Kamusta na kayo ng bakery boy mo?" she rolled her eyes at me while taking a sip of her ice coffee.

"Okay lang kami, kayo ba ni Andrielle?" She sarcastically asked.

"Belle."Nanlaki ang mga mata namin ni Ally when we heard a familiar voice."Let's talk." napabuntong hininga ako at yumuko.

"See you when I see you Thria." Ally smiled at me and I turned my gaze towards him, Andrielle. Umupo siya sa harap ko at napatulala nalang ako sa kawalan.

"Bakit hindi ka pumunta kagabi?"

"I was busy." pag dadahilan ko.

"Lagi mo namang sinasabi 'yan." sarkastiko siyang tumawa at napayuko nalang ako.

"Guilty ka pa rin ba sa ginawa mo noon kaya hindi ka makatingin sa akin?"

"The past can ruin the present so please stop bringing it back." I said while staring deeply at his eyes.

"Let's not ruin the present then."

"If you don't want to ruin the present, stop bringing back the past Andrielle." I said while emphasizing each words.

"Pinatawad na kita noon pa, Ikaw lang naman ang hindi marunong mag patawad sa sarili." Naramdaman kong pumatak ang luha ko dahil sa sinabi niya. He held my hand and caressed it.

"Let's start over."

"Uumpisahan ko ang lahat sa panliligaw at hindi sa kasal."
