Hey guys.

How have you been? Well, I've been good. (In case you're wondering. Who am I kidding? You're probably not.)

Anyway, this chapter was just a chill one.

Please leave comments on how you felt, it will be deeply appreciated.

I love you.

See you next Monday.

...

We all agreed to meet at Mia and Lee's house for the hangout. They were rich and had the biggest house.

I was freaking out about what to wear. There was a lot of option. But in the end, I settle for a pink blouse and a pair of black jeans.

I told my mom earlier that I was going out so she didn't have a problem, she even offered me her car.

I can drive but I don't have a car yet because it's too expensive for me right now.

Anyway, I got into her car and drove off.

It was a 10 minutes drive to Mia's.

When I got there, most people were already there. Well, actually just Liz was there and of course Mia and Lee.

"Hey." Mia greets me.

"Hey," I reply and hug her and Liz. "Hey Lee."

"Sup." Lee quickly looks at the clock and says "They're late."

At first, I was confused then I realized it was 11:00 AM and we decided that it was the perfect time to get going.

"Give them a break, they're just like 5 minutes late." I roll my eyes at Lee. Lee was a little bit a perfectionist. He likes everything to be perfect whereas, for me, I just go with the flow.

"Whatever." He says and goes away to another room in the house.

"Kate," Liz says.

"Liz," I say back.

"I feel like we haven't talked a lot." She whines. "You've been busy with Carter haven't you?"

I sigh. They weren't letting this go. Especially Mia which was weird because everyone knows you don't date your friend's ex unless for special conditions.

Did she think this was a special condition?

"There's nothing going on." I try to convince them but it falls unto deaf ears.

"I'm sure you're bummed detentions over. Less Carter time." They tease.

I knew there was no way to convince them so I let go. "So Mia how was your date?"

Mia blushes. "It went well. I think."

I smile. She hasn't really dated anyone since Carter.

Well, we talk for some more then Lee comes out. "It's 11:32 and they're still not here."

"Lee you should really chill." Just then Caleb comes in.

"Sorry I'm late, my mom decided it was the perfect time for me to get the laundry." He says.

We all nod. Caleb's mom was a scary woman. She was sweet and all but mostly scary.

"Carter has to top that when he comes," Liz whispers to me.

After a few more minutes, Carter finally arrived.

His hair was messy and his eyes had bags.

"Carter, you're late," Lee says as he took a step into the house.
