I was awakened by the sunlight that came in through the window because I forgot to close the curtain.

I groan. I was having the best sleep that I have ever had in a while and this happened. I knew I couldn't go back now because anytime I was awake, I could never get back to sleep.

I was still sleepy so I cuddle closer to my pillow thought it felt really hard for some reason.

"Well don't you two look comfy?" Jackson says with his arm crossed and leaning on the door. Jackson was here? When? It took me a second to realize what he says. Apparently, my pillow was a person and that person was Carter.

I was out of the bed but in the process, I pushed Carter to the ground.

Jackson chuckles and leaves us shutting the door quietly.

"What the hell!" Carter says groggily on the floor. Sleepyhead.

"What the fuck are you doing in my bed?" I shoot at him but cringe at my use of words. It's not very lady-like.

"Oh right." He mumbles.

"I'm waiting," I say tapping my feet on the ground. Before he could get a word out I interrupt "Wait, did we... did you... what happened?" How does one ask that question? I was still wearing the dress I wore last night and Carter was wearing him but I still got to ask.

"You don't remember." He was now a little awake as he got up from the floor and was now sitting on my bed.

"Obviously that's why I'm asking you." I roll my eyes.

"Do you really want to know?" I look on his face and it was all serious and no hint of amusement. I gulp scared but nod "You confessed your undying love for Caleb."

"What!" Carter just nods and my head spins around. What did he say? How did I say it? My thoughts were then interrupted by Carter's laughs.

"You should have seen the look on your face. Geez, you have the best reactions." I slap his chest annoyed.

"I hate you so much," I say but deep down I was amused.

"You love me."

"Why would I?"

"You just should." He says and I shake my head. "You mumble in your sleep, did you know that?" He abruptly says and I just ignore him.

"What happened?" I asked again.

"Fine, I'll tell you." He says taking a deep breath. "You got drunk, I took your sorry ass home, it started to rain so your brother suggested I should stay in your room so don't worry nothing happened."

"He an idiot." I finally say after a while. "And you listened?" I look at him and he just shrugs.

"I did what I had to do."

"You could have just stayed in his room." Not so smart now huh.

"Wow." He ponders on that. "I didn't think about that though that would have been less fun."

I was about to reply when my head starts to ache. I sit down next to him. "I'm never drinking again," I say with my hand on my head.

"Said by many people till this day and guess what, they still drank." Why does he have to be such a smartass?

"Gosh, you're annoying." I lay back on the bed.

We were quiet for a while before Carter abruptly says "I have to get going." I nod.

Before he goes I call out his name "Carter?" He pauses waiting for what I have to say. "Thank you." He nods and leaves.

What smelled so good? I look to see his jacket around me. I smile as I wrap it closer to me, you know since I was cold.
