018 "girls night" !

jules was getting ready for her girls night while her nerves were racking through her body. She wanted to break the news to her friends before it was too late. jaden's disappearance in her life was even more painful than what she could've imagined so she needed to tell her best friends before it was too late

Jules applied light makeup on her eyes to make herself look presentable due to her state. she looked awfully pale without foundation and she couldn't afford to look like this in front of anybody

she brushed out her loose curls before putting the brush down and walking out of the bathroom to join avani in the kitchen.

the girl was pouring chips into a large bowl as a snack as she turned to jules

"you know i'm really proud of you, right?"

jules let out a small laugh with a sad smile

"why?" jules asked quietly as she made her way into the living room, avani following behind.

"it takes a lot of courage to do that"

"i can't afford to lose more people avani" jules answered calmly before she broke into a fit of tears. she fell to her knees and placed her face in the palm of her hands. she felt a pair of arms quickly wrap around her frail body.

jaden had been an important part of her life. when they both met, jules' sudden interest in him had been showing while they ran the city on multiple dates and fun nights. nights she could never forget.

on their first date, jaden had brought a disposable camera and they took as much picture as they could before the film ran out.
he gifted the camera to her on their second date
with a hand written note ; "for the memories"

she now understood the meaning of his words as she was 6 feet deep into this heartbreak. nothing lasts forever, and that's what memories are for; remembering the moments we never want to forget.

"no crying! it's girls night remember" avani reminded the girl, but in reality, seeing her friend like that broke her and if she continued crying, avani would've probably broke too.

"i need him avani" jules sniffles and raised her head to look at the brown haired girl sorted in front of her.

"i know jules, but what if it's for the better huh? focus on that" avani smiled and got up on her small feet. she left the living room but only to come back with thin mints, knowing jules couldn't resist to them.

jules grabbed a cookie and placed it in her mouth as she made a silly face, making avani laugh.

they both heard voices behind the front door and looked at each other with a goofy smiled before yelling at the same time

"girls night"
