"yang jeongin! why haven't you been talking to felix lately? he complained to me the other day that you weren't replying to him." my mom's unnecessarily loud voice attacked my ears.

"but mom! i don't have lixie's number because he changed it and bought a new phone! you know that i uninstalled all my sns because it's unhealthy for me right?" i whined.

"fine, fine! but i'll give you felix's number so you can help him, that godson of mine is problematic."

"wait, how do you have his number?"

"jeongin sweetie, you do remember that we're neighbors with them right? we always have a dinner celebration with them monthly."

"oh..right...."

"now call felix before he tears his hair out!"

"okay ma'am!" i laughed. my notifs suddenly rang, indicating that my mom sent me felix's new number.

"INNIE! I MISSED MY BEST FRIEND SO MUCH!"

"lixie, as much as i love you, please learn to stop screaming into my ears."

"sorry jeonginnie! it's just that i took your advice and tried confessing my feelings for chan."

"so how did it go?" i asked, clearly excited for what he was going to say.

"he said i love you back."

"WAIT? FOR REAL?"

"yes, but he brozoned me." felix frowned, "he thought i was expressing my brotherly love for him."

"what? that's so embarrassing! if i was in your shoes, i would've never shown my face again."

"i know right? i was pouring out all my emotions, but it seems like he just doesn't get it. nevermind me though, how are you doing there with the minsung couple?"

"it's a long story, but i'll explain everything soon. but sleep well lixie, i hope you're fine now, i love you!"

"thanks to you! i'm so thankful that i get to have a friend like you to rant to. i love you too baby innie! goodnight!"

i left the couch and was about to head upstairs, when i saw hyunjin looking at me.

"oh hyungie, you didn't sleep yet? come on, you need rest."

i surprisingly woke up the next day to an empty bed. this was an unusual event since i'm the one that cooks and prepares meals. plus, hyunnie's the sleepyhead in our relationship.

"it's only 6am though?" i wondered to myself.

i just brushed my teeth and trudged my way downstairs. then i saw hyunjin lying on the carpet, with kkami licking his hand.

"good morning hyunnie! why are you on the carpet?" i greeted him with a giggle.

"uh. it's nothing jeongin. i made kimchi rice by the way, just eat without me. i'm not hungry."

what's wrong with him? he wasn't like this the other day..and jeongin? why isn't he calling me innie?

i noticed that his eyebags were a bit dark, indicating that he barely slept. i decided to brush it off since he's tired. it did throw me off because hyunjin always sleeps well.

i decided to hug him, you know, because he loves it when i give him attention and cuddles. to my disappointment, he did not reciprocate my actions and gave me a blank look.

he softly removed my tight grasp on him and said, "jeongin, can you please stay over at minsung's today?" huh?

"what? hyungie, what's wrong?" i asked, a bit frustrated at his behaviour towards me.

"it's just that uh. i'm...i'm cleaning the house today so you can bring kkami along with you."

"don't you need help hyunnie? i mean the house is pretty big and-"

"i don't need your help." he cut me off, "i can do it on my own, so please, just take kkami?" he sounded irritated, so i just didn't push him and nodded.

did i do anything wrong?
