Elena paced into the living room of Forbes residence. They all had gathered there; Elena, Bonnie, Matt, even Damon. Liz Forbes had finally had enough of her daughter's absence and had reached out to her friends for help. She even implored Damon Salvatore's help, despite what had transpired between them this summer.

Hearing that they were just as clueless as she was about her daughter's disappearance all but broke her. Bonnie could see the desperation intensify in her tired eyes. She had spent the entire summer searching for her, meeting dead end after dead end. That mustn't be easy for the Sheriff, Bonnie realized. She saved so many people in this town on daily bases and she couldn't even protect her own daughter? That must be at least disturbing.

The Bennett witch was in a dilemma. She couldn't decide if she should talk or keep what she knew to herself. Watching Liz suffer she doubted she could keel up with Caroline's plan and keep her mouth shut. That and she had no progress whatsoever in finding what her blonde friend had asked her. Her latest research pointed to a certain spot in Louisiana but she doubted the Original witch was buried anywhere other than Mystic Falls, after all this place was where the Originals first resided when they arrived in the New Land. Yet the spirit's instructions were clear.

"I just can't believe no one has seen her," Liz said with a voice that broke in the middle. "Not her father, not her grandparents, no one! And she didn't even call or leave a note."

Bonnie bit her lower lip.

"She's a vampire Liz," Damon said in a bored tone and Bonnie thought he was about to roll his eyes at her. "It's not like she can be kidnapped by a criminal, or something. If she disappeared it was her choice."

"Without a word to anyone?" Liz asked him with an incredulous glare at his insensitive replies.

"Its Caroline, she's just being selfish and dramatic!" Damon shrugged again. "I bet she's laughing somewhere knowing we're looking for her."

"Damon, please," Elena sighted taking Liz's hand again, as if to soothe her. "I'm sure she's fine Liz. Maybe she wanted to stay alone for awhile. She must've needed a break from this town. God knows we all do!"

Damon rolled his eyes.

"She's Just being an ungrateful brat, as usual! Trust me, she's probably clubbing and exploring her newfound stamina against alcohol and drugs. We all have been there," He added downplaying the entire situation once more while throwing a worried glance at Liz.

Bonnie hid a smirk.

Devil might care ay?

"I'm still the sheriff you know," Liz said angrily when Damon scoffed again. "I just, I really only want to know that she's alive, you know."
