(Sage's POV)

A few days alone in the hospital with Marcus calmed me down. I looked more like myself today than ever, even though I was still blonde.

"I'll never get over that hair." Marcus laughed as I let it flow in curls down to my hips.

"Shut up." I say, but smiled at him.

"I'm a failure. I can't believe I fell for you being dead." Marcus says ashamed.

"It was supposed to be like that, Marcus, don't be so hard on yourself." I say as I slipped on my heels.

"How did you pull it off?" Marcus says, giving me that interrogation look that no one but me recognized.

"You're still the idiot I remember." I snapped.

"This idiot is going to let you see Evander today." Marcus says and I instantly smiled.

"Really? Then let's go." I say excitedly and Marcus sighed, giving up on the questions.

I haven't seen Evan since they brought us to the hospital. Marcus had told me he was making a quick recovery and was constantly asking for me.

I would've ran to intensive care if Marcus wasn't there to hold me by my hand. I cried of happiness when I saw him on the hospital bed. He was sitting up and poking at a plate of blue Jell-O the nurse had given him.

"Evan!" I squealed and his eyes lit up when he saw me.

I sat beside him on the bed and hugged him. He flinched slightly from the pain, but he kissed my cheek anyways.

"Hey, princess." He murmured lovingly. "You're beautiful as always."

I admit it had dressed up for the occasion. I had a white dress with lace sleeves that showed my bare back and white high heels. My golden hair hair made it look even more prettier.

"Hey, Casper." I say and he chuckled painfully.

"Princess, why aren't you home?" He says, lifting my chin up so that I looked at him.

"Because you promised me that you'll take me." I say and he rolled his eyes.

"Can't you see I'm under custody." Evander eyed Marcus who had his arms crossed.

"Actually, you're free to go. I made sure that your case was cleared." Marcus says and Evan's jaw dropped.

"I'm a free man? For real?" Evander says and he went into a laughing fit.

"So what do you say? Are you taking me home?" I say, getting up.

He nodded, "Let's take you home."

Evander had permission to leave the hospital only for today since he still had to recover. We sat on the backseat of Marcus's car as he drove us home.

I grinned from ear to ear when I saw my house. It was exactly how I left it. I climbed out of the car and was going to take out Evander's wheelchair, but he shook his head.

"I want to walk you home." He says and I helped him out of the car.

I grabbed his arm tightly as we walked. He ran out of breath with every step, but we slowly made it to the front door. He was panting, but also smiling when he knocked on the door.

I gasped when I saw Ian. I knew I had seen him in the hospital, but I sadly didn't recognize him. I hope he didn't hate me for it.

"I have brought your wife home, like I promised her." Evander says shaking Ian's hand.
