                  (One week later.)

Rey rocked back in forth on her feet. Auditions were this afternoon.

"You'll be great! Don't worry about it!" Rose had said.

"I've never seen you act but I'm sure you're really good." Finn encouraged.

Rey still wasn't sure. Rose had convinced her to try out for Juliet, the lead role. There were plenty of better actresses in her class, but she was still hoping for the lead. She didn't want it for the glory, she just wanted to start her year at the new school with a bang.

Walking into Mr. Skywalkers classroom, Rey practically sprinted to a seat and planted herself in it, sliding her books under it.

The graying man stood up in front of the class.

"As you all probably, or hopefully, know, auditions for Romeo and Juliet are this evening. At 3:45, right after school dismisses."

Several mumbles were heard throught the room.

"I'm not trying to call anyone out, I'm just curious... How many of you are trying out for one of the lead roles?"

Several kids raised their hands. One in particular, surprised Rey.

Ben.

"Oh shit..." Rey mumbled to herself, letting her hand fall back down to her lap. Thankfully, no one heard her comment.

"Well!" Mr. Skywalker said, "Quite a handful. But remember, I'm not looking just for acting ability, I'm also looking for onstage chemistry."

He paused scanning the class. His eyes landed on Rey for a few more milliseconds than everyone else.

"Here," he passed out scripts, "I'll give you all the rest of class to look over the scripts."

The class muttered cheerfully. Ben just snatched the script out of his teachers hand and grumpily opened the first page.

Rey couldn't help but chuckle a bit. She, unlike most, didn't find his anger threatening or annoying. She thought of it as a persona he had, which it kinda was.

Rey scanned over the first section of the script. Most of that she already knew from reading the book in her 7th grade English class. The part they never go to was the end. She flipped to the end. Romeo finds Juliet's dead body and in turn, kills himself.

Well that's one way to do it, I guess, Rey thought.

Flipping back a little bit, Rey realized that there was a kiss at the end
of Act1.

Rey was semi-okay with that. It would just be an onstage kiss. There wouldn't be chemistry.

After reading the script for about another 20 minutes, the bell rang.

"Ok kids! Please return your scripts to the stage!"

A couple of kids sitting in the front placed their's down on the stage, starting a pile. Rey grabbed her books in one hand, booklet in the other and placed it on the stack. Ben walked up and slammed his down on the table, storming out the door.

Rey walked slowly out after him, heading to the lunchroom.

After grabbing her food, she found the gang and sat down with them. Poe and Hux weren't there yet. Probably still in line.

Rose greeted her as soon as she sat down.

"Hey Rey!"

"What's up?"

"Well... Something happened..."

"Oo! Spill the tea!"

"I met my soulmate!"
