Chapter 4 - Rehearsal

Rey tapped her foot waiting on the bus. She had the song Ben had sung during auditions stuck in her head. It was a pretty song on it's own, but she couldn't stop mentally singing it in Ben's voice. It was so deep and heavenly.... And the way that he poured his heart and soul into the song.....

Screeeeeeee!

The bus brakes slammed Rey out of her boy trance. She clambered onto the bus and practically jumped into the seat next to Rose.

"Hey Rey!" Rose cheered.

"'Morning Rose."

"Soooooo? How'd you do?"

"Oh, uh," Rey laughed, "I got Juliet."

"Wait? Really!"

"Yeah. I wouldn't lie to you."

"Are you nervous? For rehearsal"

"Not nervous, just.... awkward."

"Why?....wait. Who's Romeo?"

Rey laughed again, this time more forced, "Can we maybe talk about this later...?"

"No! I want to know!"

"Fine." Rey lowered her voice, "It's Ben."

Rose's face lit up.
"Je-sus-Christ."

Rey tried hiding behind her jumper hood.

"Omg, Rey! This is your chance!" Rose was squeezing Rey's arm.

"What do you mean?"

"You guys haven't touched yet, right?"

"I-I guess not..." Rey let the realization hit her. They could be soulmates.

"Well then... You aught to give it a try."

"Rose, I don't think he even likes me back. Why would he? He's rich, plays guitar and is an amazing actor. I'm just some girl."

"No. You're Rey." Rose said, taking her friend's hand and squeezing it gently.

"Yeah. Like that'll help." Rey scoffed.

"Oh come on...! Give it a try! For me?" Rose tried her best to put on a puppy dog face, making Rey laugh.

"Oh, alright."

Rose cheered as the bus rolled off toward the school.

Ben nervously strolled around his house. He needed to get to school soon, but he figured he'd have time. He only lived a couple minutes away and there wasn't to much traffic around here. His hands kept flying up to his hair, threatening to pull it put of his head.

How was he going to be able to rehearse with Rey? He wasn't sure if her would be able to be within 4 feet of her without having a full on panic attack. He'd even have to touch her in scenes! He'd have to touch... her...

Wait.

The bus doors swung open and Rose pulled Rey out. They went to their first period class and found their seats, meeting up with Poe and Finn.

(While writing this I realized that this story had hit 27th for Reylo. I'm sorry.... what? That made my day!)

Rey zoned off as soon as Ben walked in the door. His hair was perfectly messy. He was wearing a black hoodie with a gold chain around his neck with two golden cubes hanging off of it. Paired with the hoodie, was a pair of black skinny jeans. He wore a pair of tall, lace-up combat boots.

Rey had to make sure her jaw didn't fall to the floor. You could tell he didn't even try to dress up, and maybe that was part of the appeal. He caught her eye and she held back a yelp. His scowl turned into a blank expression. Pretty much the closest thing to a smile you'd get from Ben.
