Chapter 13: A Brand New Year Together

You skipped around the halls happily and went inside the kitchen.

Ai noticed you come in and said, "Why are you so happy all of a sudden?"

"It's going to be New Years tonight at exactly 12:00!" You said excitedly

Syo and Natsuki widened their eyes, "I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THAT!!" Syo said

You giggled, "So, what's so special about a New Year?" Ai said blankly

"Aren't you excited about a new year?" You asked

He shrugged, "It's just a New Year, no need to stay up late and get excited about it."

You pouted and sighed sadly, "This is my first time spending the New Year with friends, I never spent any time with my family on any holiday before.........."

Ai widened his eyes and looked at you sadly, "Well.......... I guess it's okay to stay up with you on New Years.........."

You looked at him and smiled, "Really?!?!"

He chuckled and walked up to you and whispered in your ear, "As long as you give me an New Years kiss~"

You blushed and he smirked, "F-Fine........"

He patted your head and walked out of the room.

You sighed and made some hot chocolate.

Syo and Natsuki looked at you, "What did he say to you?" Syo asked

You blushed deeply and shook your head as you drank your hot chocolate, "Nothing important..........."

"So, are you guys going to stay up late too and watch the countdown?" You asked

"We're not sure yet, we'll have to ask Ai for permission first." Natsuki explained

You giggled, "I hope he lets you stay up late."

Syo sighed, "He'll probably say no........"

"Don't worry, just say that I asked you to stay up late. He'll be sure to say yes!" You said

Syo and Natsuki nodded and everyone else came into the room.

Reiji came up to you, "Are you going to spend the New Years with Ai tonight?" He smirked

You blushed, "Y-Yeah, he said he's going to watch the Countdown with me tonight."

He smiled, "I hope you'll enjoy your time with Ai, Lily-chan~"

"What about you Reiji? Aren't you going to watch the Countdown too?" You asked

He nodded, "I'm gonna go to a friend's house and stay over there."

"That's nice, I hope you have fun~" you said happily

He smiled and nodded, "Make sure you tell me everything that happens, okay?" He winked

You laughed nervously, "Maybe..........."

He smirked, "Do you want me to ask Ai for the details?"

You blushed and quickly shook your head, "N-No! You don't need to do that, I'll tell you."

He chuckled and patted your head, "I'll be expecting all the details of what happens~"

Your face was red as you finished your hot chocolate and left the room.

You decided to cool off by taking a walk outside.

The weather was cool and there wasn't too much snow on the ground.

A cold breeze flew through your hair and cooled your face a little.

Ai noticed you outside and smiled a little.
