Harry guided Aries by telling her to take a bath in the Prefects bathroom on the fifth floor, and she did take a bath with her golden egg to find the clue, and got it. Well, sort of, she didn't understand so Harry told her anyway.
And here she is, in the Black Lake where the 2nd task is set in, without any plan for what she's going to do. Her confidence was so high.
"Aries, I know you're strong and all, but I don't want you drowning in there, understand?" Ginny said.
"Yeah I'll be fine, don't worry. You know me, I'm scared of nothing." Aries said confidently. "Oh and, have you seen Hermione? I haven't seen her since yesterday."
Ginny shook her head. "No, I haven't seen her and Ron hasn't been back either, probably just trying to sneak into the kitchen to steal some snacks for the show."
"That sounds like Ron, he always thinks about food." Aries replied. "I guess he's not feeling well after the scolding I gave him yesterday."
"Champions!'
Everyone paid attention to Dumbledore. Aries almost did, but she accidentally made eye contact with Lev from the crowd, but she ignored him and turned towards Dumbledore.
"Welcome to the second task. Last night, something was stolen from each of our champions, these five things now lie onnthe bottom of the lake. In order to win, each champion need to find their treasure and return to surface. Except for this, they will have one hour to do so and one hour only. After that, they'll be on their own."
"Cool, one hour. I can breathe in the water for one hour." Aries told herself in confidence.
Ginny rolled her eyes, pointed her wand at Aries and muttered an incantation. A big bubble formed on Aries' mouth, and Ginny gave Aries a little push as she fell in the lake right after Filch shot the cannon.
Aries loved the feeling of the bubble charm on her face, but she snapped back to reality and started swimming towards the long seaweeds, then she saw something move, making her freeze.
Aries Black fears nothing, she reminded herself.
She swam faster and looked around for something, and there it was the treasure Dumbledore talked about.
Five people were tied there, she knew all of them except for one blonde little girl, and she most certainly recognized Draco. But why was he there?
Aries saw Cedric help Cho, and Krum helping Hermione, leaving Ron, the foreign girl and Draco.
She swam closer to them and reached the ropes first to untie Draco. Harry reached her side and untied Ron, they both gave each other a nod, meaning they succeeded, they almost went away but Harry stopped her.
"Wait! what about her?" he pointed at the little blonde girl.
"Shes Fleur's. Not our problem." Aries told him, but he gave her a begging look, making her roll her eyes. "Fine!"
Harry took both Ron and the girl, but the two thought they could get away but some mermen surrounded them, pointing their tridents at them. "Only one!" they hissed.
"Oh screw you." Aries pointed her wand at them.
"No! keep swimming Aries!" Harry said, swimming past her. Aries obeyed and swam with him, as fast as they can.
Once those two reached the surface, their partners gained consciousness and started swimming on their own.
"Aries! are you okay?!" Draco asked while swimming.
"Now's not the time!" Aries shouted.
"Hey, give me your hand!" Cedric said, reaching for Draco, now trying to pull him up. "Aries, your hand."
