Chapter 3- a new friend

NOVEMBER
Gem's POV
"I hate waiting for flights," I grumbled, fidgeting in my chair as we waited for our flight to come in.
"Relax Gem," my sister put a hand on my knee. I winced as I saw one of the scars on her arms. She noticed me staring and shrugged her coat back on.
"Omg what do I do? What if I freak out-,"
"Lib, you're a trained professional actress. I don't think you're gonna freak out," Mini rolled her eyes.
"Yeah you'd be a great mother, comforting children like that," I muttered.
Mini shot me a dark look.
I cowered behind my own coat.
She was scary.

"I can't believe we're flying all the way to LA for one night! One! It's a complete waste!" Mini said as we sat down in the aeroplane.
"Well we have jobs," Libra rolled her eyes.
"Yeah we're not paying for anything," I chimed in. "It's all the film's doing," I added.
"Hopefully it'll be good then," Mini grumbled.
"You're directing it. It will be," Libra assured her.

"How was the interview?"
"I didn't mess up," Libra collapsed into the spot next to me. I laughed and she put her head on my lap as she started to nod off
"I thought Aquarius was your human cushion," I muttered.
"She's.. not... here... m tired," Libra mumbled.
Interviews seem like hard work.
Mini came out a few hours later, I had nodded off and Libra was still asleep. She was talking to a man around our age. He had blonde hair and was shorter then Scorpio but taller then Aries. Which means he's about 6'2, like cap.
"Lib wake up. Mini's free," I nudged my friend. She opened her eyes and sat up.
"Guys! This is Ophichius, he's the author to the film I'm directing," Mini introduced the man.
"Gem. You know Libra, right?" I put out my hand.
"You're the twin sister, the film editor, right?" He asked and took my hand.
I nodded. "Nice to meet you,"
"You too," he said.
Mini coughed. "Um.. Ophichius lives in Longfield like us! He's joining us on the flight back today," she said.
"You'll love to meet our friends. They're.. normal-ish?" Libra snickered.
Mini snorted. "Right. Let's get going then. Meet you at the airport then Ophi,"
"Great a nickname," ophichius grumbled.
"Bye Ophi, it was nice to meet you!" I waved.

"Hey guys!" Mini waved as we stepped into our house.
"Mini! Hey!" Capricorn bounded over. They hugged.
Get together already.
"Who's your friend?" Leo asked.
"I'm Ophichius Slyhirten," Ophi shook his hand.
"I'm Leo nice to-,"
"I love your books!" Virgo's eyes shone. "They're so cool! Especially that one-,"
"Virgo, breathe," Pisces advised.
Virgo blushed and hid her face in the crook of Leo's neck.
"I'm Capricorn! Nice to meet you!" Cap waved.
"Sorry about them. They're still kids at heart," mini had let go of cap.
"Hell yeah we are! I'm Sagittarius by the way, this is Taurus," Sag introduced himself.
Taurus waved.
"Our resident married couple, Aries and Pisces," Aquarius pointed at the two.
"That's Aquarius," Libra said. Aqua waved.
Scorpio appeared from upstairs, wearing black baggy trousers and a black shirt and his dog tags. "That's scorpio!" Taurus said.
Scorpio's eyes narrowed. "Who are you?" He asked.
"Ophichius,"
"You're the author V likes? Mini's doing a film adaption of one of your books right?"
Ophichius nodded.
"I guess it's nice to meet you then," he shook Ophi's hand.
"Where's Can?" Mini looked around for her best friend.
"She's got an overnight shift," Cap answered.

The door opened as we were having dinner, we had drawn up another chair for Ophichius because Can's chair is Can's chair and no one else is allowed to sit in it.
"Hey guys," she said as she entered.
"I thought you were having a night shift?" Aries frowned.
"They gave me the night off," she said and disappeared upstairs.
"Something's off," I said.
"I'll go see what's happened," mini left the table.
"That was weird," Taurus said.
"Do you like Sagi's cooking Ophi? It's great, right?" Libra turned to our guest.
He nodded. "It's very nice," he said. "Thank you Sagittarius," he nodded to Tari who grinned widely.
