TIME SKIP TO DECEMBER
Cancer's POV
"Hey Scorp. I don't know if you can hear me, but... merry Christmas. I brought Hunter with me again," I sat down next to Scorpio's bedside.
He didn't move. Hunter started fussing.
"Come on baby, be good for daddy," I said.
Something moved in the corner of my eye. I turned but Scorpio hadn't moved.
"I'm imagining things," I sniffed.
"Cancer? Is that you?"
I stood up and burst into tears.
He had woken up, on Christmas Day no less.
"Scorpio! You're awake!" I sobbed.
He chuckled. "Crybaby," he said affectionately.
"Jerk," I smiled back.
"Are you going to introduce me to my son or not?" He demanded, sitting up against his pillows.
I put Hunter into his arms gently. He stopped fussing.
"He's beautiful," Scorpio murmured.
"He's the carbon copy of you," I teased, wiping my eyes on the hoodie I stole from Cap (well he stole it off Scorpio first).
"Ah well I'm beautiful," he joked.
"Mm never say that word to describe yourself again," I chuckled.
"Noted," Scorpio looked back down at Hunter. "His eyes are beautiful though," he said.
"The only thing telling people he's my son," I nodded.
"I'm sorry I promised I wouldn't get hurt," he turned to me.
"You promised Cap that. Not me," I said softly.
"So what are my injuries Can?" He asked.
"You hit your head hard, so you have a bandage on your head, you got shot in the side and you had to have some surgery for that, and then you just have a ton of bruises and cuts and new scars," I listed off his injuries like they were a shopping list.
"Well I had too many emotional ones already," he murmured.
I grimaced. "Hey baby. Yeah I'm sorry I wasn't there but I'm here now my little boy," he cooed down at our son.
I laughed at his silly baby voice. Never, had I ever thought I'd hear him say that, even when I was pregnant.

"Scorpio! Hi! Merry Christmas!" Gem and Mini, like always, ran in like missiles.
"Hi you two, it's Christmas?"
"Yep so merry Christmas," Sagittarius strolled in after the twins, Taurus following, like always.
I'm surprised the 'matchmakers' haven't managed to get them to date yet. (Yes I know about the matchmakers- we all do).
Then libra, Virgo and Aquarius came in with Pisces and Aries following.
"Uh congrats Pi," Scorpio nodded to Pisces' five month pregnant belly.
"Thanks Scorp," she beamed.
Cap came in last, being the mysterious weirdo like usual, being all silent and dark.
Scorpio and him started a staring contest.
"Hello Scorpio. Oh hi cap! Glad to see you awake best friend. Thanks bestie," Gem tried to do an imitation of their voices.
"Thank you Gem," Capricorn said dryly as the rest of us laughed.
She grinned at him.
"Well you promised me you wouldn't get hurt. How did that turn out for you?" Cap turned back to scorpio who looked slightly guilty.
"I tried to save my friend- Delphinius- he was about to get shot so I shoved him out the way. It didn't matter because he fell over and got blown up my a mine minutes later- after I was removed from the field," He admitted.
Cap's glare dropped. "Scorp..." he started.
"I'm sorry I broke your promise," Scorpio said honestly. "But I did it for a good reason," his eyes went dark.
Hunter gurgled, making Scorpio look down at him and smile softly.
"I know. You're a hero then?" Cap joked.
Scorpio scrunched up his nose. "A good friend,"

Me being the crying emotional cancer that I am- cried during this. I wanted Scorpio back to I did a time skip.. sorry. Hope you liked the chapter! Hunter and Scorpio- they're so precious.
I don't know how to write 'being reunited with a baby' scenes very well because they're like so cliché so rewrote this chapter like three or four times- crying during it all of course.
I don't think I'll make any of them get into hospital again.
Sorry for the long author's note- I'm going back to school next week so that is incredibly fun. Not fun.
