I was scouring the highschool with frantic eyes, annoyed I'd been placed on vamp duty. When I finally found the blonde in the crowd, latched onto her human boyfriend in a tight hug, I scurried towards her--"Hey, Caroline!" My tone was too chirpy, she turned to me with a frown. "Bailey, remember? We met the other day?"
"Yeah...?"
"Bonnie asked me to grab you, says there's a problem with the DJ and wanted your opinion--"
"She knows I'm out?"
I know a brief pause of panic crossed my eyes, and I hate that she noticed. "Yeah. Come on, it's urgent you come with me--Sorry, Matt!" my hand latched onto her wrist before the pair could complain, Caroline dragged to an empty classroom so I could explain--"Don't eat me!" I made clear from the start, her eyes widening in fear.
"I wasn't--!"
"I know you're a vampire, and I'm useless right now because I'm an untriggered werewolf so I'd really appreciate it if you kept your distance if you didn't want me to be scared..." she took three steps back, I sighed in relief..."Thank you...Um--Scarlet can explain the whole it looks like Elena turned you when we get you to the boarding house--"
"I'm going to the boarding house?"
"Just for tonight, so she can explain everything and my brother can make you a daylight ring--"
"A what?"
I released a huffing breath, "Look, blondie. You're getting your memories back because you've turned, so you know Damon is a vampire. Vampires need blood to function--human or animal--they also can't walk in the sun without bursting into flames, hence you need a daylight ring, like Damon and Scarlet have. They can compel people, which is why you forgot everything and how you could get out of hospital tonight and make that nurse forget after you fed on her," her eyes widened in shock. "You have a great healing ability if you feed well and you also don't like vervain. It's a herb that can greatly weaken or hurt your kind..."
"And you're a werewolf?"
"Untriggered. My weakness is wolfsbane, it works the same way vervain does to you--though I don't know if it affects me the same way because I'm untriggered. I can also be compelled--triggered werewolves can't. And I need to kill a human to trigger it--my sister already has. She's stronger then your average human and quicker and has your level of healing ability. She'll also turn every full moon without choice, it's painful and it's bloody and if she were to bite a vampire in that state then they would die a horribly slow and painful death..."
She released a nervous laugh, "Remind me not to pet her..." I actually felt true laughter escape me with the comment, the need to not be serious a good kindness right now..."Anything else I need to know?"
