A very stressful day for Yeji came at a very unexpected time. She had to do some errands, so many errands. Those errands are mostly her driving around the city to deliver some flowers, and organize some events. Usually Yeji would just be the one to organize some events, but she now had a task that she was not supposed to do. That is to deliver some flowers. All because of one absent staff who is also her bestfriend.
Now who is this absent bestfriend?
It's non other than Lee Chaeryeong.
You see she was suppose to be at the shop helping Yeji around, but for the past two days and that includes the day Yeji is having. She was nowhere to be found. What's her reason for missing her leisure hours?
Well...
"Lee Chaeryeong. I can't believe you made me do all those work alone." Yeji scolded the younger girl albeit with a non angry tone on her voice.
"Sorry eonnie. I was watching a drama." The younger girl responded.
"And that said drama took you three days to finish?"
"Eonnie that drama had like thirty episode, and you know I don't skip episodes."
Yeji closed her eyes and she held the bridge of her nose and sighed in defeat.
"Okay. But please next time be here alright? I could've passed out in the middle of the streets from all the work I had today."
"Sorry eonnie." Chaeryeong pouted and looked down.
The conversation of the two friends got cut off as a sound of a girl's voice upstairs is heard.
"Yeji! Where's the ramen I bought awhile ago!"
"It's in the cupboards!"
Chaeryeong looked at her friend flabbergasted. Who in the blue hooligan is living with her friend?
"Who was that?" Chaeryeong asked.
"That was Lia." The taller girl simply replied.
"Is she your girlfriend?"
"No. More like a housemate? Or a roommate? Or whatever you call it."
"Wait so the boarding house is reopened?"
"Yes, but only for that girl since my brother insisted that I let her stay here until she finishes college."
"Oh. Because if it's reopened I might actually move here."
"No. Jolly no. No way in heaven are you moving back here." Yeji said as she rolled up her sleeves.
"Why? I'm not a bad housemate.'
"Yeah you're not bad, but when you slept here you kept on squeeling at the middle of the night."
"Oh shush eonnie. Now come on I wanna meet your new housemate."
Just like that Yeji is left alone behind the counters of her shop.
Yeji let out a fatigued sigh.
Chaeryeong might be a little too energetic, but had it not been for the younger girl. She wouldn't have made it passed the lonely three years of her.
The younger girl would constantly visit the older girl to check up on her ever since her mother passed, and her brother left to another place. Not to say her brother left her and didn't bother on checking up on his little sister. Her brother constantly sends her money to pay off for the shop. But it was all for nothing. Because in those phone calls they had. She put up a fake voice and lied to her brother. She never bothered to reopen the shop. Sure she paid the place but she never tended to it. She just left all the plants to rot, never even bothered to clean them. She can't make herself do all those not without her mother beside her. Her beacon of light.
