"Are you fine now Yeji?" Soobin asked, completely worried for the cat eyed girl.
Yeji have been sitting on the same seat for nearly twenty minutes while still rubbingng her left chest area. Soobin and his co-workers looked intently at Yeji, worried if she'd have another heart attack.
Soobin just knew that Yeji had health problems, but he didn't know that it was this kind of health problem. Now with newly acquired information about Yeji, he felt more responsible to keep on watch for her while she's with him.
"I-I think I am... it's still aching quite a bit though."
Soobin bit his lips and placed his arms on his hips while tapping his right foot on the ground.
'What do I do, what do I do,' he thought to himself, trying to find a way of helping Yeji out.
"I think it would be best to do the obvious," one of Soobin's co-worker who noticed how he looked, suddenly voiced out.
"Yeaaaaah... and that is?"
"Go to the hospital you dingus," he said as he playfully smacked Soobin's head.
Soobin whose holding his head after being smacked, then looked back towards Yeji. "So are you good if I take you to the hospital now?"
"Yes, but I need to get my brother with me though. So we need to go drop by the flower shop," she replied.
Yeji then motioned herself upwards in a hurry and attempted to stand up, but her attempt was a total failure as she tripped from the leg of the table and stumbled down to her knees.
Soobin, who was right beside her immediately lend his hands to Yeji and pulled her up. "Jesus! Yeji be careful."
The cat eyed girl embarrassingly pulled herself up and quickly fixed her clothing before standing up straight and looked at the guy in front of her.
"All good? Cuz if it is then we're going," Soobin said as he removed the apron from his body.
Yeji only nodded and started walking outside. She had to wait an extra couple minutes for Soobin to finish his business inside.
It wasn't that long and Soobin came walking out of the cafe and guided Yeji to his car.
When they did got to the car and rode off. It was absolutely quiet. Soobin just looked up front and Yeji for most of the time just did the same thing.
Soobin went quiet for one reason. That reason was that for whatever reason his co-workers thought that he and Yeji had something going on. Now that he's thinking about it, he finds it totally hilarious and dumb.
"Hey Soobin," Yeji called out, breaking the silence engulfing the both of them.
Soobin then hummed in response.and glance momentarily towards the cat eyed girl.
"Did you text Lia about this?"
"I did... Why?"
"Oh nothing, just asking."
"Are you looking to lie about this again?"
Yeji then immediately jolted her attention towards Soobin. Completely taken aback from what he just said.
"Wait, again?"
"Yes, again. I heard that you lied about this problem of yours for months."
"Just how much did Lia tell you about this."
"Pretty much everything."
Yeji sighed and placed her arm on the window and leaned her hands on it. "I can tell she trust you so much"
Soobin chuckled and smiled right after.
Lia did trust him. So did Soobin, both of them trusted each other with this type of stuff. Sure they only met recently since the start of their college. But those short amount of time. They were built trust with each other so quick.
Lia knew so much about him just from them hanging out all the time. Which is why Lia found in easier to talk about this things to Soobin, because for a lot of things he's easy to talk to and also for whatever reason he seems to have any advice for any problem.
"Yep... She does somehow trust me," He paused momentarily and looked at the cat eyed girl for a split second then spoke. "Yeji, please don't lie anymore about this problem of yours, of course surely by now they all know about it, but please don't make anymore lies. Losing you would mean losing Lia."
"I'm not lying about this. If I were lying about it, this health problem of mine wouldn't have been exposed to them up until till now."
With that both went quiet. It was quiet a long drive for Soobin to take, it had been a long time since he even rode to the flower shop and now he forgot the destination completely.
Taking a ridiculous amount of wrong turns or turning the right corner then the next one taking another wrong turn. Which made Yeji pissed, but couldn't voice out. The last she wants is stressing herself and triggering another excruciatingly painful heart attack.
So all she did was look outside and just let the driver do all the driving.
She sighed as she once again glued her attention outside
No one was at the road aside from some cars passing by here and there and them. It's a moonless night, the only light that is visible are from the orange street lights and some headlight from cars, flying by overhead and the headlight of the car up front.
All from just staring at nothing outside made her drift deep into her thoughts. The feeling like she's on a tight rope. The feeling like any mishaps could lead to a huge tragedy, and that case is her life.
She doesn't feel well any bit. She knows it, her brother knows it, Ryujin, Yuna and Chaeryeong knows it.
But most of all. Lia knows it.
All those thoughts of hers led to one conclusion. Death.
Negativity soon flooded her already overflowing mind. She doesn't think she'll ever make it through this. With her damaged heart muscles, one thing leads to another that could end it all.
Even if she does make it through this. Will she ever have a normal life?
All Yeji could do was hope for the best, drive it in deep and hoped it sticks.
