It Wasn't Us, It Was You

Chapter 9

Chloe cryed into her pillow, not caring of the year stains that would be left. All she wanted was Maddie to come back to her. She had regretted the years of bullying Maddie that led to this. The text from Maddie was heartbreaking for Chloe. She wanted everything to be the same when Chloe was eight and Maddie was seven. When she started bullying Maddie, Chloe felt happy that Maddie was no longer the best. But now, things were different.

It was raining hard that day, but all Chloe wanted to do was to see Maddie. Of course, she couldn't now that the poor girl had committed suicide, but she had to do something. Kendall and Paige were sitting on the porch bench that was outside the Lukasiak's house. When Chloe and Christi opened the front door, they got up and piled in Christi's car. When the car stopped outside the Ziegler's household, they all jumped out and knocked on the door. Melissa opened happily, but you could tell that she had been crying, from the redness of her face.

Chloe, Paige, and Kendall walked up the stairs to Maddie's old room. Chloe and Paige stared in defeat, regretting the years of bullying Maddie.

All they wanted was for Maddie to come back, to not have died. But they couldn't do anything now.
