It Wasn't Us, It Was You

Chapter 10

"I am so sorry Maddie." Chloe whispered, tears falling from her face.

"Maddie, I regret the years of bullying that we gave you. Please forgive me." Paige said.

"Maddie, you have always been my best friend. I love you so much." Kendall finally said, tears rapidly streaming down her face as she cried.

The three crying girls hugged each other as they sat in Maddie's old bedroom.

They could have sworn that Maddie had said, "I love you too" in their minds.

At last, Kendall picked up the pills that were spilled from Maddie's bedroom carpet. Maddie's room was gorgeous, but it was also the only memory of Maddie. Melissa had put away all of Maddie's pictures and other things from downstairs and in the hallway, so they were all in Maddie's bedroom.

Chloe and Paige were regretting their bullying. Kendall was cring in Maddie's pillows, damping them with tears.

All three of them were still crying though. Finally, they couldn't stand being in Maddie's room because it gave off too many sad memories.

"We will always be together forever, in our minds." They whispered together.

"In our minds," the spirit of Maddie whispered back,"I will be with you every step of the way."
