I Feel A Hand Slightly Touch My Shoulder As I Stare At The Gravestone. It hasnt ever been so hard for me to leave but something pulls me in today. I sniffle a little and wipe the last tear from my eye. Leafs crush as I hear my sister walk away and the car door opens in the distance. I don't know what it is about today but , I don't want to leave.
The engine starts up and I get the hint that she's had enough mourning and ready to go. I place the flower on my mother's grave and walk to the car. Aubrey smiles at me and turns the radio on as I slide in the passenger seat.
"Lighten up kid , I'm sure mama seating up there in heaven singing to God with that soulful voice of hers in choir or angels" she says. I smirk a little and stare out the window.
I can hear my mother's voice saying " It's gone be alright baby , only heaven knows what's bound to happen ." Then singing to me the last song I would ever have heard her sing. Those were the last words of comfort I'll ever have heard from her.
