Chapter 44

"Mmmm. This is really great Suzanne, thank you!!"

"You're welcome Alyssa. So how's traveling like?"

"Its great! I get to go to places I never thought I could go before and see so many beaches." I looked at Harry and he just nodded and smiled.

I think Harry loved Suzanne's cooking better than mine. I'm a great cook, but I'm still learning. We talked a little and I got to know them a little better. After dinner I helped Suzanne wash dishes while Harry watched Darcy and James in the living room.

"It was really nice of y'all to let us come over Suzanne, thank you."

"You got a real southern accent don't you. Its cute."

"Yes ma'am I do. Its not as bad as one of my friends. He was born and breed in Georgia."

She laughed and Amber came in as we were finishing up the dishes.

"Hey Alyssa you ever been night surfing??" I could see the excitement in her eyes.

"Can't say I have been, I've seen it in movies and it looks like fun. Is it better than surfing during the day light?" I was loving how happy it made her when we talked about stuff like this.

"If you love surfing during the day you'll really love night surfing. You up for it tonight?"

I looked at Harry, who was playing with the twins.

"Oh, yeah.. You have babies now."

"You know what y'all go, I'll watch them for you." Suzanne said to me.

"No its fine, thank you though." I didn't want her to feel like she had to watch my kids for me.

"I would love to, and you guys should spend time together."

"Are you sure?? I don't want you to feel like you have to watch them."

"Yeah its fine, I'd love to watch them, besides looks like they're gonna go to sleep in a minute."

I went to ask Harry what he thought and he said that if she really wants to then it was fine. I took her up on her offer and we kissed the kids and left for the beach. I hadn't been surfing in years and I couldn't wait to get back on the board.

I feel the first few times but then got it. Harry didn't get in he said it was to cold. I think he was just scared. Amber had fun and I got to meet the guy she was dating and gave him my own little speech about what I'd do to him if he hurt her. He was shaking in his water shoes by the time I finished. We finished up pretty early because I didn't like the idea of leaving the kids for to long.

When we got back Darcy and James were asleep cuddling with their cousins on the couch. We thanked them again and left. Amber had wanted to meet the boys so I invited her over to spend the day with us tomorrow. She liked the idea and agreed to it. I was going to pick her up by noon.

The next day

It was 8 in the morning and I had to get up to get Amber so we could hang out all day. I just threw on my sweats, put my hair in a messy bun and got ready to go. Since the babies were still asleep I quickly changed their diapers and left . When I was pulling up to her driveway Harry called me.

"Hey love, is everything alright?"
"I was just wondering where you were because I woke up and you weren't next to me." He sounded a little worried.
"Yeah I left about 10 or 20 minutes ago because me and Amber are hanging out today. Oh and I'd check the twins' diapers because I changed them before I left, but they might need to be changed again." I was already at the front door, and sort of wished the conversation would go faster because it seems rude to be on the phone when they answer the door.
"Ok, babe. I'll check them, and when will you be back? We were going to go out in town today weren't we?"
"Yeah, I will be back soon. I gotta go she's coming. Bye honey."
"Bye sweet heart."
