Every single day is as normal at the cafe right now. There are silence, then the busy hours, some new customers and the people that visits the cafe on regular basis. The busy buzzing cafe were quite packed throughout the day and when the day ended, exhaustion greets the staff without any hesitation.
"Man I'm beat." Atsushi sighed as he turned the open poster on its other side. He went and sat towards the counter top where Akutagawa is taking away the plates to the cabinets. "How was working in here so far? Did you had any problems?"
"None so far." Akutagawa replied, finishing the smaller plates in an orderly manner. "I have a pretty good teacher when it comes to this so I guess it doesn't really hassle me much."
"That's nice." Atsushi replied, slowly folding his arms to the counter, slowly closing his eyes. "Do you mind if I napped? The others are still busy at the kitchen and we are done here any-"
"Go ahead." Akutagawa cut him off. "You are probably tired. Don't worry I'll wake you up for the meeting."
"Thanks." Atsushi smiled.
He dosed off as Akutagawa closed the cabinets. He sat next to the sleeping white haired boy and rested his head on the counter top, watching the other slowly breathe in. With the slow medley of Brand New Tomorrow, playing outside the cafe doors, he smiles. As the lyrics of the song pass, Akutagawa lost track of time, watching Sushi as he looks so safe, content, and words that he cannot explain. The lyrics goes on,
That day, we looked up at the night sky the whole time, counting the bountiful stars. They winked at us countless times by twinkling.
All that Akutagawa can think of as of now was the seemingly galaxy eyes of the other, maybe if he woke him up, those multicolored orbs would watch him on the other side, smiling at him.
I wrote my wish on a tanzaku and tied it higher than anyone else. See, I definitely was dreaming
He took a deep breath, slowly making raising his hands to Atshushi's hair, moving it and exposing his gentle sleeping face. If the song was telling something, it just wants to say how the wish that he always wanted was the person in front of him. He edged his way to Atsushi, brushing off the bangs and closing in the gap between them.
He sat down next to him again, resting his head when suddenly, the door bust ope---
" WE GAIN THINGS, LOSE 'EM, LEARN THINGS, FORGET THINGS, THINGS THINGS, ALIIIIVE" Chuuya kicked open the door to the cafe while holding a stack of boxes that seemed empty. Atsushi woke up startled and Akutagawa almost jumped off his seat. "OHO AM I DISTURBING THE TWO LITTLE MIDGETS?"
Atsushi fixed his hair and smiled while Akutagawa replies, "You are the midget though." that made Atsushi laughed.
"How rude." Chuuya said as he dropped off the boxes in the corner next to the passage to the hall. He stretched and called out, "Hey, let's call this meeting started!" where the three of them proceed to the staff room.
*The song I used is called Brand New Tomorrow by Ieiri Leo and I am not sure about the translations so I apologize if it doesn't make much sense in English. It has a nice tune so :3*
