Tyler's POV
I woke up in the hospital. My anxiety attacks have come back. I opened my eyes to Bri's voice, she stayed with me. We talked for a moment and I got up and saw her things in the closet. That obviously meant she was staying the night with me. I apologized for passing out at her house, I wish it would have never happened. But then it all turned into me and my thoughts about myself them pouring out of my mind. She. Tried to stop them but they just kept going. Her attempt eventually worked... She kissed me. Not on the cheek, my lips it was perfect, I felt her bangs brush against my face, and I felt her smile while we were still kissing. She pulled away, damn it was too soon. She apologized for doing something I've been dying to do since I saw her. I played it off cool and we talked for a little while more. She went down to get us some food, while she was gone I decided to put on my regular clothes. I couldn't stop thinking about her. I've never had someone in my life I thought about so much before. Besides my mother. Then I thought about how much she means to me. How much she has done for me in such little time.
A knock came to the door, Bri came back in dancing around with a burger and taco salad in her hands. "Look what I got." She sang as she sat on the bed next to me. "Looking good." She smiled "I know right, they just made it like five minutes ago." This next sentence basically made shivers go down my spine, I can't believe I actually said it. "I'm not talking about the food." She was just about to take a bite of her salad. "What do you mean?" She stopped and looked right at me. "I just mean... You are beautiful that's all. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude." She came closer to me, stole one of my fries and took my other hand. "You are the sweetest guy. Tyler there's something on my mind that I've been dying to tell you." My heart was pounding. Was I about to have another anxiety attack? "You can tell me anything." I lost my appetite, not because I was sick but because I was nervous. She wiped her mouth with a napkin looked me straight in the eye, took a deep breath and spoke.
"Tyler. I like you. Not as a friend, or like a brother. I like you as something more. I've never felt this way towards someone and I don't know if it's your personality, or the way you care for me so much or all of it. You mean so much to me." She beat me to it. "Bri. I cant say anything to top that, but I like everything about you. You are-" and once again she pulled me into her kiss. It was perfect she grabbed my face and I reached to grab her waist. I opened my eyes to see if this was even real. It sure was I smiled, I couldn't help but to smile and she laughed. We both pulled away and I stood up. I pulled her with me and she wrapped her legs around me. We hugged like this until I finally brook the silence.
"Is it weird to say I think I love you."
"Not at all Tyler, that's if you truly believe it."
I put my head on her shoulder. "Good because I can't help from falling in love with you." I put her down on onto the bed and pulled out my ukulele, I'm glad she brought it.
"I think I'm finally ready to show you this song."
She turned on the lamp next to her.
"Only if you are ready." I most certainly was ready.
"Like I said this song is uh called-" she interrupted
"Before You Start Your Day. I thought about it all night." Man did it make me happy to hear that.
"Well this song is not originally written for my uke, but one day I'll finish it on the piano." Here I finally go.
