Before You Start Your Day

Gig

Bri's POV
I woke up early to make Tyler some breakfast. Also, his present I got him came in the mail today, I was getting worried. I heard him get up and go to the bathroom. Above me, I had only a few minutes until he would come down. My sister lead him into the kitchen and I placed his food in front of him. I kissed him in the cheek, fresh shave I could tell. Then after he ate he opened all of our presents and was very thankful. We sat and talked till it was 7:45.
"Well Ty, school starts soon. Better get leaving." He smiled at me, it was a look that I love never really seen from him before.
"Ty what's wrong?"
"Oh nothing, you just look beautiful."

We got to the school and turned to eachother. It was windy and cold here in Ohio, so I had on a big coat.
"Here, take my hand." He put his hand out and I grabbed it with my big mitten.
"I hope Madi sees us." Tyler said looking at the door. I secretly thought this too, but I was going to handle everything like an adult.
We got inside and he hugged me and kissed me on the cheek. He branched off to his locker and I kept going down the hall.
"Hey Bri!" I could tell it was Josh. He dropped his book trying to catch up to me.
"Hey Josh! Need some help there?" He laughed and stood up.
"Nah, I'm alright. Did Tyler like his gift or what?" I smiled and nodded.
"That's awesome! I knew he would. And just in time too. I got us a gig for tomorrow night at the place downtown." I was very shocked.
"Are you kidding!? Does Tyler know that?" He shook his head no.
"I was wondering if you wanted to tell him for me today? Like I don't know, do it in a cool way like-"
"Hey guys!" It was Tyler. We both shut up and kept walking, Tyler put him arm around my shoulder and Josh kept walking awkwardly trying to hold on to all of his books.

Tyler's POV
We got to the school and I went to my locker. I could hear Josh calling Bri's name as she walked away. I quickly ran up behind them trying not to make a sound. I heard Josh tell her he got is a gig for tomorrow night! I wanted to scream but didn't want to make it obvious that I heard them. Recently Josh and I have been practicing every once in a while at his house and we are getting really good. our style and thoughts just fit together. Plus, he said he has another friend he wants me to meet that's great with editing. His name is Mark, and I've seen him here and there around school but always felt awkward to try to get to know him.

Bri's POV
It was after school and Josh and I waited by Tyler's locker for him to come down. We decided to just tell him straight up together, we couldn't think of anything to make it creative. Tyler came running around the corner like he was out of breath and hardly noticed is standing there.

Tyler's POV
It was 10 minutes until school was out. I got out early, I guess on your birthday you can do that. But as I was in my way to my locker I noticed the kid that beat me up on the first day of school was pinning a girl against a wall. She was struggling to get away.
"Hey, man stop that let her go." He let go and froze the girl ran the opposite way.
"Nice going you shit head, I could have had a chance with her." I got nervous as e walked closer to me.
"Oh yeah right man. Just leave these innocent girls one, they don't want anything to do with you." I can't believe I said that. I was sweating really bad and my fists clenched up. As he came closer I blacked out from my point of few. The next thing I know I'm standing above him and he's rolling in the ground holding his face. Did I punch him!? I had no time to find out and ran as fast as I could to get to my locker and to Bri's car.
"Tyler what's wrong!?" It was Bri and Josh standing by my locker.
"Hey man, you don't look so good right now." I had no time to tell them and pulled them with me as I ran to the car.
"Well I guess I needed a ride home." Josh said as I started the car. When j finally got out of the parking lot I told them what happened.
"Oh my god, are you kidding? That jerk deserved it, I'm proud of you babe."
Josh laughed and put his hand out for a high five.
"That's sick man!" He was smiling.
"Well I don't k JW what's going to happen to me, luckily it's a Friday and he will forget all about it by Monday right?" Bri smiled and I could tell she was lying.
"Oh of course."
