CHAPTER-3

A deep velvety voice spoke which made Celeste stop from her staring the sky as she now looked at the man who was the source of that voice...

" I- I'm fine thank you. I was just thinking about my.... About my childhood!"

She replied as she lowered her eyes in fear of getting caught as she had lied.

"I see, memories do possess the power of bringing a person to think on every part of their life.... Where they had done wrong ....... to mend them so the good things-they want them to last long ...."

His baritone voice over his smooth English accent bought goosebumps to her as she took in his mesmerizing voice

"selfish, but isn't it a strong desire? I could see myself changing some things....."

She quickly said and kept her head down as she worried over his coming answer

"indeed." Was all he said as she waited for him to add more to it.

"What specific memory would you change?"

He asked and Celeste's heart skipped a beat

"I- now that I think of it.... I'd rather not do anything about it" she sighed with a smile.

The man stood and watched at her eyes glow in the sunlight, her smile was angelic and he could not resist smiling

"as much I am liking your company, it's rather not safe out here. May I be of any assistance and could perhaps take you back home?"

He asked and she looked down as if contemplating the offer but then she realized her state

"no kind sir! I'll be on my way now. You have done enough already and thank you also!"

She thanked as she bowed in from of the tall man and then to the two men who tried to help her.

As Celeste said that she walked of to a direction completely oblivious to where she was going but she had to get far from those men to figure out her way back home.

"Miss is pretty but I'd like to know her name."

Whispered one of the men to the second one while the colonel saw her disappear in the woods

"she looked like a Greek goddess!" The second one chimed and the colonel now heard them and made his way to them

"you didn't even ask of her name? Too busy staring her down you two incoherent fools!"

He sneered at them and they lowered their heads.

"Now let's leave..... I have other things to look into."

The colonel commanded and walked towards the horses with his two men behind him.
