Part 26: Back to Normal

Nate woke up in a room the was glowing a bright green, he noticed Mark was next to him and tried to reach over to wake him up, but his hands were restrained he looked over at him and said "Get up Mark!" Mark woke up and said "What the hell? " Nate said " Had the same reaction. " Mark rolled his eyes and said "What do you think it will be this time huh, poisonous black smoke, watching our loved ones get tortured, or how about the room fills up with septic fluid which one you glitchy clown?"  Nate said"I can't slap you for being hysterical right now so calm down Mark!" Mark said "No, I'm so pissed off right now that last thing I need to is to calm down!" Nate said "Mark just take a deep breath-" Mark said "Shut up Nate!" Nate said "Hey I'm trying to help, the last thing we need right now is to end up in some sort of fight, that's what they want!" Mark said "So what, what are going to do anyway except get caught again?" Nate sighed and started rubbing his wrists together , if we can get rid of one of them, I'm pretty sure we can get rid of the other three." Mark said "What are you doing?" Nate said "Don't worry about." Mark watched Nate struggle for the next five minutes, wondering to himself if his friend has finally lost his mind, due to all of this. Nate kept rubbing his wrist together until Mark heard a pop, Mark said "Nate did you just dislocate your elbow?" Nate groaned and said "Yup, but don't worry it's all part of the plan," Mark said "What do you mea-?" Mark looked at Nate with his mouth wide open as he slowly freed himself from the rope and collapsed on the floor groaning, Mark said "Nate are you okay?" Nate said "Yeah, I'm fine give me a second to get my elbow back into place." Nate slowly  grabbed his arm and pulled it until it was back into his socket and took a sigh of relief, Mark watched him with his mouth wide open  and said "Okay I have to admit that was the most impressive thing I've ever seen you do Nate." Nate said "Thanks, need a hand ?" Mark said "Yeah." Nate got up and ran over to Mark and untied him and said "Thanks." Nate said "Anytime." Mark said "Let's get out of here." Nate and Mark walked out of the room, being careful not to make much noise." Mark and Nate walked down the hallway, Nate said "I wonder where they are?" Mark said "Who knows."  and walked back to the room where the girls and Sean and Matt were and lightly knocked on the door. Sean opened the door and said "Hey." Nate said "How's Matt?" Sean said "Well I actually  have good news." Nate said "What?" Sean smiled and said "Look!" Mark and Nate looked behind Sean and saw Steph and Matt in the corner and Matt's arm was around Steph's shoulders.  He looked up and said "Hey guys!" Nate walked over to Matt and slapped him in the face, Matt said "Ow!" Gab said "Nate!" Sean said "Well shit Nate!"  Mark said "Why'd you slap him?" Nate said "Just making sure." Matt said "You didn't have to slap me!" Nate said " I'm sorry."  Matt said "Apology accepted I guess." Mark said 'How'd you figure it out ?' Sean said "It was actually pretty easy to figure out, they lied about there not being an antidote and believe it or not Steph's the one who figured it out!" Steph said "Yup, years of having a nerd as a husband payed off." Matt said "Hey!" Steph said "You know I love you." and she kissed him. Nate said "Looks like there's only one more thing to do, get rid of Anti, Natemare and Madpat and then get out of here." Matt stood up and said "I can take care of getting rid of those three." Mark said "Acid?" Matt said "Nope, there's another way to get rid of them, don't get me wrong acid works but sadly it's not permanent, so Dark's most likely back by now." Mark said "What is it?" Sean said "Yeah tell us." Matt said "It's a special kind of liquid, works like acid but they don't come back, and lucky for us I know how to make it!" Nate said "How?" Matt said "I'm gonna need some help, it's not like it's complicated though, but someone's going to have to sneak into the lab." The group looked at each other , Nate said "I'll go, can't be that hard right?" Matt said "You sure?"  Nate said "Please it's the least I could do after I slapped you in the face." Matt said "Okay." and reached into his pocket and said "Here's the stuff." Nate said "I'll be back." Mark said "Be careful!" Nate said "Yup!"  and left the room.
