I connect my phone to the aux cord and start my 'road jams' playlist if I'm going to be alone with him for the next while, I might as well have some tunes playing so I can feel somewhat zen.

"I hope it's not all girly music," he says when Shake it Off by Taylor Swift comes on.

"I cannot make any promises. I just hit shuffle."

"If it ends up being shitty after the first five songs, we're switching to my playlist.

"You wish, I have all the power here, mister," I say, swatting his hand when he tries to yank off the aux cord.

Okay, this shouldn't be too bad, our banter is still there, and it's effortless. It always is with him, though, no matter how confused he makes me.

"So, how was your coffee date the other day?" Well, maybe I spoke too soon.

"It was nice," I answer truthfully.

"Are you going to see him again?" Why does he want to know?

"I guess so; we're going for dinner next week. Why?"

"Nothing. I was just curious; that's all" Harry Easton, in a nutshell, everybody. Just when I think he's going to give me a little clarity. He confuses me even more.

"Cool then. I was starting to wonder if you worried about me," I say nonchalantly.

"I do worry about you though," when he says things like these, it makes me wonder if he feels something more for me or if it's all just in my head.

"You don't have to. I'm a big girl, after all."

"Oh, I know that I've learned not to underestimate you."

My phone lights up with a text from Jake. We've been texting all week.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend beautiful. Don't have too much fun, though.

I smile when I read the message. I like how he calls me beautiful. Some people might think it's cheesy, but I like it.

I can't make any promises :p but thank you. My service may be spotty all weekend but have a good one as well.

Harry has been watching me text. I guess if he's jealous, that's on him. Things could be so much different if he weren't going back and forth with me, maybe Jake showing interest will make him realize what he's missing. I'm not saying I'm using Jake to make him jealous or anything. I don't know where this thing with Jake is going, but I owe it to myself to give it a chance. My feelings for Harry be damned.

"Can we stop at Mcdonald's, I could do with a sausage McMuffin right now?" I ask him when I spot a Mcdonald's in front of us.

"You're lucky it's a drive-through," he replies.

"Aren't you worried that I haven't eaten? I could pass out on you."

"Now, you're just a drama queen."

"When am I not, though?"

"Touche"

We bicker on who's going to pay, and he wins this round. Something about a lady never pays when she's with him. I roll my eyes at this, but I'm happy to have my breakfast either way. The rest of the drive goes by fairly smoothly well except when he decided he was over my music choices and refused to keep driving till I gave him the aux cord. At first, I thought he was joking, but he pulled over, and I had to let him have his way if we were going to make it to the cottage on time so I could have a nap.

We eventually make it to the cottage. Dean's car is already parked. I figure they arrived about half an hour ago. Harry takes my bags out of the trunk and offers to bring them inside.
