Spectre and Eliza left the cafeteria and Elizabeth immediately started bitching like I thought she would.
Elizabeth: I don't like Spectre.
Matt: The guy has been through a lot. His squad killed in front of him, isolation for years. I respect him for some how not going insane.
A spooky man with a very distorted voice sat across from me.
???: Spectre is a good man regardless of what you think. He saved Eliza's life multiple times. He helped me in stopping a terrorist attack and a robbery.
Elizabeth: He's ex-Militum.
???: So am I. He was my captain.
A woman who was also wearing a mask and had a distorted voice sat down next to the man.
???: Ghost, are you hassling Eliza's parents?
Ghost: Maybe.
???: Stop it.
Ghost: Why?
Ghost seemed to be dead emotionally when talking.
???: Because I'm sure they're nice people.
Matt: Ghost, I made this when it was on the news that Militum was killed.
I passed Ghost a small metal object with the words "In Memoria de Militum".
Ghost: In Memory of Militum. Thank you
Matt: Militum had good people.
Ghost: Larva, disengage locks.
Larva: Locks disengaged.
Ghost's mask started buzzing a low noise and then popped open.
Ghost: No need to be in mission mode right now.
The woman did the same.
Ghost: This is my fiancee, Caveira.
Caveira: Nice to meet you.
Matt: I'm assuming no real names?
Ghost: That's a negative, captain.
Caveira: You would be correct.
Spectre and Eliza sat back down.
Ghost: What did Six need?
Eliza: Just congratulating us on getting engaged.
Ghost: You're engaged? Congrats. I gotta run, I have patrol duty for the next hour.
Spectre: Alright, see you later, Ghost.
Caveira: I'm coming with you, amor.
The two stood and walked off.
Matt: Nice people here. I see how you like this.
Elizabeth: I don't.
Eliza: Mom, this place is great. I consider most of the operators here to be my family.
Elizabeth: You only have one family, Eliza.
Eliza: Not when you risk your life every other day.
Spectre: You have to rely on those around you to help. If you don't then that can very well be the end of you.
Eliza: I relied on Spectre to save me multiple times.
Matt: Please elaborate.
Spectre: Well, we were driving and a White Mask van t-boned us and we were captured. I woke up tied a chair and they dragged Eliza in the room and the person had a syringe of poison and an assortment of knives. He was going to stab her, but I killed him instead. Well, I thought I killed him. A team went in and found him alive so I got to interrogate him and then kill him. I tortu-
