2000 years later
"Felix, wait for mee!" A small boy with braces jumped off the tree.
The latter turned around with mischievous grin on his lips.
"Oh nOo, Innie! We're running out of time, we have to go now!"
The golden light from the sunset reflected on his freckled face.
"Felix!"
"Yeah?"
"You promised you'd bring me home."
"I sure did."
"So why are you leaving without me." The small boy pouted, the rims of his eyes becoming red.
Felix rolled his eyes. 'Kids these days. One can't even joke around without making them cry.'
He reached out to grab Jeongin's hand. "Come, your mom said to bring you home before eight."
"But I'm big enough, I'm already nine. I could stay the whole night alone and I wouldn't be scared at all." He puffed his tiny chest.
"Yeah sure." Felix laughed and patted his head. "And I'm seventeen and I can't even walk through a dark hallway."
Jeongin looked up. "Hyung, are you scared of ghosts?"
'Not really.' Thought Felix.
"Of course, they're scaaary!"
"Don't worry hyung, I'll protect you!"
Felix chuckled as he saw the little guy showing off his little muscles.
They entered the shop owned by Jeongin's mother. It was an antique shop, full of old and precious stuff.
"Mom, I'm home!"
The bell in the entrance noticed their presence.
"Madam Yang, I brought back Jeongin."
"..."
No response.
"She must be downstairs, repairing some old stuff again. I'll go get her."
Jeongin shrugged and started making his way through the mess in the shop.
"There's no need, I'll be going now. You can tell her later."
Felix was on his way out when he noticed something in the back of the shop.
It was a huge golden mirror, with a massive frame full of ornaments.
The glass was covered by a sheet, but the frame itself was bright enough.
The ornaments on the sides were a bit weird, the red marks were uneven.
'What an interesting mirror.' Thought Felix. 'I wonder how old it is.'
Jeongin stood up next to him and explained.
"This mirror is very old, I think the red is kinda creepy. Mom doesn't let me touch it because it has apparently 'bad' energy."
"It is indeed interesting. Bet it has a historical value."
"Nope, I don't think so, it's too ugly." Jeongin scratched his nose and frowned.
Felix laughed. "Innie, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's worthless. I think it's neat."
"Then you take it, it's been here for a long time and nobody wants to buy it anyway." The small boy shrugged.
"..."
"Can I really take it?"
"Sure."
"Shouldn't I ask your mom first?"
"Naah, mom won't even notice it's gone. Besides I live here too so I can give it to you."
Felix eyed the covered mirror and then looked back at the little guy beside him.
"Okay, I'll buy it."
"No, take it for free."
"I can't do that."
"Then just pay the next time you come here. I don't know the price anyway."
"Yeah okay. But if your mom is mad, it was your idea, not mine."
"Heh, of course." Jeongin grinned.
Felix took the mirror and carried it home. It was heavier than he had thought.
He entered his room and put it in the corner.
It was a little bit too fancy for his room, but at least it was tall enough.
"Now I can finally see my whole figure. No more squatting and tilting to see the full outfit." He proudly dusted off his jacket.
After he was done with adjustments he finally decided to remove the sheet from the surface.
He expected to see his tanned freckled face and honey hair in there, but to his surprise, the one looking back at him was a tall blackhaired youth with pale face and deep black eyes.
